Someone mentioned asking why casinos would risk cheating the player, or being corrupt – as its not in theit interest?

All I can say to that is to google FullTilt pokers fraudulent activities.

So if its likely you are going to win money from us we may need to cancel your account – however if you present a low risk with regarding to winning big, please carry on 🙂

Struggling to make sense of any of your last five or six posts mate, but so there’s no confusion I’m only talking about online casinos, not high street bookies shops. No idea what rules the latter are subject to in respect of cash withdrawals, but I do know years ago when I was playing FOBTs every shop I played in would give me cash if I deposited cash and pay out to my card if I deposited with a card. But I don’t know what’s an obligation versus company policy on the high street.

The point is unless your a Lawyer just Stop.

Policy, Terms and conditions are guidelines for us, not actual Law.

So again unless your a gaming industry lawyer just fucking stop.

Some casinos are just cack and will try anything to stop paying out.  In my opinion when you join a site, companies that are obsessed with ID should NEVER take a deposit from you without first accepting you for withdrawals.  I have accounts at many sites and have only ever been asked for my ID stuff once for an account, I said they took my money without my paperwork, they had no right to see mine when I ask for it back.  If they thought I was laundering money they shouldn’t have taken the deposit and they would be hearing from my solicitor, they paid out within an hour of the email.

Bandit – get CAB or a solicitor on Leo’s asses, they’ll cough up as they won’t want to lose the business people like you provide them with.

Assuming @mrsdoyle1968 isn’t telling lies here, how can a threat of legal action make them bypass “law” or “regulation” ?

First of all, let me again reiterate SkyVegas for one have never asked me for ID. I’m a long term customer and have gone through 10’s of thousands there with one cash out that was over £6.3k. Therefore I for one do not suspect @mrsdoyle1968 is telling lies at all.

@MrB – I’m with you where SkyVegas are concerned, they’ve never asked for documents in 9 years and withdrawals back to Paypal can take as little 2 minutes.  I think the longest I have waited is about an hour.   Hate these sites that take several days to process a withdrawal and then have loads of stupid reasons for the delay, if one site can do it properly, they all could if they wanted to.

The link you posted is just one aspect of them cheating players. How can you say they werent cheating players when infact he was allowed to use software to see opponents hole cards? That is cheating.

Fulltilt were knowing using their customers money for their own gains, and when the site was found out people rightly so tried to withdraw their money only to find that there was no money there for them to withdraw, or a signifcantly lesser amount of money that should have been in a segregated account.

I think you’ve pick me up wrong there Quasi…

I lived the Fulltilt fiasco, they owed me lots of money, so I’ll address that 1st..

Fulltilt got caught up in a massive fraud committed to them by an Australian, who set up their money transfers and stole millions (450 as a rough estimate) when he got caught, he spilled the beans on Fulltilt as they were operating in the US without a license(Pokerstars too) and all other sites.

When the FBI realise how much $ was involved they went after the pokersites to help the players get paid because typically Sites did not transfer funds, and Fulltilt by giving out loans to their sponsored players did not have enough to compensate their players.. Alough they Stole they did not cheat..Bad business & too much trust in others was Fulltilt downfall.

Sheldon Aldson took advantage of this and got the US to Ban all Poker online by getting the Congress to introduce the bans. So landbased casinos got all the action.

On the other hand Absolute & Ultimate Bet did Cheat their players, with suspicious accounts, they identified Pott ripper as the main suspect which got linked to the Site owner.

All players who lost money with Fulltilt got paid eventually by the US Government ? Alough it took a few years.

Thanks to pokerstars too for buying out Fulltilt & reimbursement of players.

    I know it’s technically’s at play stealing V Cheating.

I can see how many people see Fulltilt Pro’s/Sponsored players as being cheats & That’s fair in my book.

    Laters brother. ???

A very well constructed and valid reply.. Dont see much of that here ?? kudos.

You’re right in everything you’re saying and I dont disagree.

My point was aimed at the people saying things like, “why would casinos cheat/defraud their player base”,”its not worth it” etc and I was just trying to highlight that there are greedy companies out there who will try and get away with as much as they can until caught. It would be of no suprise to me if there are reputable casinos out there that do cheat/steal and circumnavigate the law to their benefit.
