Funny that Relax Gaming were happy to discuss max wins or any bonus buy win when they are supposed to have a Geo-lock to ensure UK players can’t bonus buy! They clearly don’t care. I’d suggest that at a point in time they will though.
i think it all falls on the casino really, relax make the toys, add whats needed, give it to the shop to sell, its up to the shop to check then what goes on…but like making beer and selling beer. its the casinos that can void pays if your not being honest not Relax, and its the casinos that check you out ….but again i might be thinking about it in a very naive way……
Mate, the game providers geolock games based on licencing restrictions. It’s a huge risk to them in other locations if UKGC etc start asking for explanations of why people are showing bonus buys on software which is banned in the UK. Push Gaming and Play N Go have pulled games from numerous Curaçao sites because of this before.
but aren’t you saying that push pulled games from a casino because the casino failed in its duty? isn’t it the same point i was making.. ish
tho with vpn i wonder how actionable it would be since theres no way to counter it
There is a very easy way to counter it and that’s KYC, proper KYC I mean. A number of Crypto casinos actually do it diligently. If you send them a UK passport and letter they will tell you to go and get proof of address in whatever place you are VPN’d as well as any supporting docs. It does exist but some Crypto casinos will stick the UK in their terms as not allowed yet still accept UK docs….the majority are on the cowboy CEG licence, which since it came to being 4 years ago has taken action ONCE and it was against a player!!! That’s who your dealing with here.

At least no one have mentioned the glorified piss that is Fosters, Carling or Carlsberg, but still, you guys need to shift up a gear. Try some Elvis Juice, Hazy Jane, Mallow Laser Quest. If you’re in Wetherspoon, try Nethergate Growling Dog from the craft beers section.

These sites offer no protection to problem gamblers.
I’m pretty sure UKGC is going to comedown hard on a few people soon for promoting it.
is not UKGC job to deal with promoting ASA deal with promoting…but BC is safe they have UKGC license just like Stake casino they are all over UK TV

It isn’t illegal from a players point to play outside the UK. However, it is illegal for unlicenced casinos to accept bets from players(that’s non-UKGC casinos). There are definite legal issues with software providers, if there were not then they wouldn’t geolock their games at all. The thing about it is all decisions the UKGC take in regards to enforcement and delisting demands are political in nature. In France the body there is far more active. They are taking severe action against a number of sites and operators including legal action, delisting demands and more.

I think I’m with you in spirit on the thread, but a question…..
If it not illegal for uk players to play in non uk casinos regardless of where they are, but it’s illegal for these casinos to take the bet of a uk player,
how can it be illegal ? What law could uk use against a casino that doesn’t recognise or sign up to its rules ? and what “ prosecution” would the casinos fear if they aren’t in the uk market anyway ?

Crypto Gambling in France is 70% Norway has the highest one over 85%, the last update about UK crypto gambling in 2022 was 1.7 billion spent by UK gamblers on Crypto that makes close to 40% I am sure 2023 will be over 50%
UK watched Norway and France with new regulations and all gamblers moved to Crypto, what UK did is ok we made more stupid rules we are fine 😂 now UKGC is in big trouble

The only thing UK can do to Crypto casinos is sent a fine for not paying TAX in the UK 😂, but Crypto casinos can say we do not have any UK gamblers, so win-win for Crypto casinos, Crypto casinos don’t even like to KYC players but now they need to,I am sure soon a lot of Crypto casinos will move on the new spot or even operate without a license at all, as longes gamblers get paid they don’t care about licenses
6th October 2023 at 2:12 am #132183this report was from 2020 about France and Norway on crypto gambling, for last 2 year they have jumped up 20%-30% more
6th October 2023 at 7:07 am #132188France have put huge amounts of delisting demands out this year. If I can find the link I will post it up.

They can ask for delisting notices, put pressure on the Curaçao government but their main tool is around payment processors. Lots of payment processors won’t allow gambling transactions outwith the UK. Some mask transactions, like Mystake etc, as non-gambling. This in itself is not legal so they can then push onto the payment processor to get it stopped. Crypto is different…but that may be about to change…just need to wait and see.
