I took a 6-month self exclusion from Video Slots, and now after that period is coming to an end I’ve been told if I want access to my account again I must have a phone call with a team member to discuss the reasons behind my self exclusion, and then write a hand written letter stating that I do not have a gambling addiction.
1. Why am I being treated like a 5 year old because I wanted a simple break from slots?
2. Why is it not stated when you select Self-Exclusion that they’ll want this bollocks from you when it’s over?
Ive had the same problem with PlayOJO but they wanted a letter as well as me to take a quiz! But then other websites just allow you access once the exclusion is over, what a joke just to gain access to my own account.

If you wanted a break why didn’t you just take a break and not close your account ?
14th February 2021 at 12:53 pm #107230They all do it now. Have done for a while I self excluded from a casino for a year, and has to do the phone call to be “assessed” to be allowed back on. There are so many rules and regs in place now, The casino has got to cover them self’s, or face a massive fine, Which getting you to write a letter and phone to talk to them saves them millions then so be it. Also I would rather they made SURE you can gamble again safely, as you felt the need for the casino to step in and take control as you couldn’t control yourself not to gamble without having access to the site. Its gambling responsibly for you and Videoslots. Good on them

It’s their licence on the line, they are entitled to take every check possible…. they would be ripped apart if they didn’t

maybe is better for you not to go back on videoslot, you have lot of better casinos out there
14th February 2021 at 7:54 pm #107244The way it’s going online gambling or should I say playing slots will be like trying to play roulette on a fobt now basically pointless eventually I think max bet will be 2 quid auto spins will be gone and most of the casinos I play at such as Leo Vegas and even my sports betting account have put £250-300 monthly deposit limits on them they just did that automatically I can afford more than that if I really wanted too and things like that is killing my experience of online slots now I like to do 2-3 hundred pound bonus hunts and would sometimes deposit another 1-2 hundred to carry on which would be fine now I can’t I suppose people who play small stakes and only deposit around £100 a month nothing changes, everyone else will suffer eventually and it will pretty much cease to carry on in my opinion.
14th February 2021 at 8:34 pm #107245Even when (if) they let you back expect to be hit with enforced deposit / loss limits that are so low it isn’t worth the bother
I tried online gambling in the middle of last year, got a few decent wins meaning a >£2000 balance which instantly means you have to send your life story just to cash it out, a few days later ‘yeah we’ve decided you can’t lose more than £800 a month’
After that I just sacked it off and signed up to Gamstop for 5 years

16th February 2021 at 11:35 am #10728317th February 2021 at 7:14 am #107305I’m interested in how this would apply to PokerStars casino
I’m a successful poker player and genuinely make money from that. I also lost a bunch of it playing at Stars casino. But I self-exclude from the casino all the time, then after a while I reverse the self-exclusion (which takes 24 hours), rinse and repeat
Wonder if I could sue Stars for every loss at the casino since I first self-excluded? That would be a serious chunk of change

OK that’s more than just a random ball bounce
17th February 2021 at 4:15 pm #107326Wow that’s fucked up .
only reason that you shouldn’t play any roulette where the ball is spin by magnet . It could have just hit by mistake but I’m thinking that everyone playing was betting heavy on 10 lol
