I’m a bit conflicted to post this, I dont want to it to end up as a big row or anything but its also a topic I feel quite strongly over and I’m sure others do.
The clip below is from a small, relatively new streamer regarding some of his offers regarding affiliation. The caveats I put on this is while I believe he’s being honest anything can be edited to suit a narrative and this only concerns the casinos he has quoted so we can’t throw every streamer we have doubts over into the mix even if its possible they have a similar deal in place with their casinos.
I find it quite refreshing in truth and tend to believe its legit. It also makes me believe that regulation is needed for casino streamers, either they must use their own funds or the disclaim their method or arrangement of play, it will certainly quickly show who is fake.

121st December 2020 at 7:37 am #105793I can’t say I’ve watched the video, I’ll just give a few thoughts without.
Don’t believe everything you see on a single video. That’s how we get crackpot ideas such as covid being a Bill Gates 5G cluster fuck of bullshit.
Everything you search for on Google, every ad you see on Facebook that tempts you, every youtuber selling you the latest ridge wallet etc are affiliated. It’s not something new just to the casino space and it’s not some big scary greed monster.
Some streamers are fake, you can usually spot them a mile off because they are slotting on bullshit casinos such as bong slot casino or prime wolf casino etc etc etc. If they are playing at a casino you recognise as legit, I’m fairly confident they will be legit streamers.
Simply this, slot videos are for entertainment. If you aren’t entertained then find something else that does entertain you and don’t tar everyone with the shit brush.
Finally, Merry Christmas if that’s your thing ?

This is Kevin at Secular Slots here – i posted the video last week.. I understand the conflict this video could have caused but i felt it was very important for me to share it. I can tell you right now it is 1000% true and there is 2 or 3 more channels have already posted videos backing me up as they were offered the same deal. Of course everyone is free to believe it or not.
From my end, transparency is the most important thing in casino streaming/content making. Not only with the UKGC coming down hard on us, but the fact that affiliates are asking people to use their own money to sign up to casinos, the least they should expect from us is to use our own money to play.
I am happy to show any more info on DM, so you can get me on Twitter @Gamblerkev

Hey Kevin,
I’m not suggesting that what you’ve posted isn’t true, infact if the brands quoted are bullshit casino brands then it’s obviously correct info as they have always been sketchy. I’m just pointing out that if a streamer is using a casino you’ve heard of, the chances are they are legit. If they are affiliates, thats not a problem either… internet selling etc only works because of affiliation.
Being on twitter, you’ll be fighting with “Numbers” accounts all day about affilation but I actually get how it works ??
I don’t really know how to say Merry Christmas to somebody who uses the name Secular Slots ? Merry 25th December??!! ?

Yeah I agree with this, I asked hideous how he was on his arse a year ago looking at having to stop but can drop 2k now without batting an eyelid. His response, affiliation revenue. Its ridiculous to expect us to believe its this simple, especially when you consider in the video above secular explains how one big winning player can wipe out the profit from all of the other sign ups, you’d need tens of thousand of sign ups to consistenly make the money needed to play to that level, someone will always win big and it will need to be absorbed. Granted there will be other deals out there but when a channel only had 9k subs but can drop that level of cash you do question it.
With that said though, I’m being hypocritical because I don’t want to start the shit show of who is real or not. Its only the casinos in the video we’ve been told offer certain deals so anything else is conjecture. I just find it interesting that we’ve had it confirmed that this sort of practice does exist.
Tbf to secular, watching his video last night he’s doing his best to invest everything back into his streams, hes only made £280 i think he said from affiliation and given away far more than that. Everything is questionable, this could be a contrived ruse to gain exposure but I don’t think it is. Think hes a genuine streamer/gambler trying to build a channel the right way and had visibility to some of the issues that might muddy the transparency of streamers.

It’s clear some streamers get paid to make videos on their site. So let’s say hideous got paid 2.5k to promote the game by the provider or by the casino and then loses the £2.5k. some would say that is funded by the casino/provider while others will say it’s his own money. It’s clear this practise happens and casinos pay a one off fee for videos/streams on their site. Affiliation will also help top this up but it’s so saturated there is zero chance streamers can drop the amount of money they drop from affiliation alone. It’s very common practise in the gaming community where streamers get a fixed fee to play and stream a company’s new game or try the beta of a game on stream. So it’s not that far fetched that it happens in the gambling community. My issue is that I truly 100% believe these fixed fee payments to promote sites/games happens but streamers use the excuse of “under contract” so they cant give details. We need transparency. The only people I watch who I believe are 100% transparent are bandit, nozzer and secular.

21st December 2020 at 3:25 pm #10581027th December 2020 at 2:40 pm #105953I’m a bit conflicted to post this, I dont want to it to end up as a big row or anything but its also a topic I feel quite strongly over and I’m sure others do.

Agreed. If people are promoting real money gambling then they should be gambling with real money. The UkGC will catch up soon and start regulating UK streamers. It’s in clear violation to safer and responsible gambling if someone is playing with casino funds/fake money if they in turn promote real money gambling.
Hey all.. Sorry it took me long to respond! Firstly, yeah, it was happy 25th of December for me, still celebrate xmas but of course without the myths! haha..
I love all these replies. From my point of view, there is a slight difference in a few things which you all might or might not agree with. Firstly, i think money earned from Affiliation is an acceptable income for a streamer/content maker – AS LONG as they use that money to make content and giveaways etc. Its earned money at the end of the day, they have worked for it, but what i dont agree with is people taking money from a casino and not depositing their own money. And when i say own money, i mean wages, salary, or affiliation money.
I would never expect someone to sign up top a casino that i have not tried with my own cash. Its not only unfair but i think it should be classed as breaking UKGC laws.
I am a small channel, trying to build a community and followers – i would never be dishonest because at the end of the day i enjoy playing slots/table games, so those who take time to watch me, deserves to see real play as well as have a chance to win prizes etc.
In the event i ever got big enough where a provider wanted me to showcase a game, i would be clear and upfront to say it was not my own money, but that’s if i decided to do so. Its different from taking casinos money and hiding the fact its not your money and putting on an act like it is.
For me I am in to actually win on slots/table games.. I am not in it to make a living from affiliation, as i mentioned on the video, that should be classed as a bonus if you get some pay-out from it, never will i expect it. I have given away more than 5 times what i have made from affiliation and i will; always do so.
This argument could go on for weeks and i personally do see good points from both sides.
Anyway, i am glad to have these discussions and i hope my video (well now videos as i done a follow up one) has shone a light on how some channels are taring the legit ones with the same brush.
Ask me any questions anytime lads/ladies and i will always be 1000% honest!
Hope you all had a great xmas and here is to a better 2021 eh!
Kevin

Kevin
