Was watching Hypalinx again recently and rewatched his video where he listed his losses for the year (£30k plus), which got me to thinking – which is a struggle for me.
There are new streamers popping up all the time on you tube etc, however until they actually get a creditable customer base, which I am guessing can take some time, and needing to pump out regular videos to get those followers, they must need a reasonable start up kitty to become a streamer, not least to absorb the initial gambling losses until they get some income, or am I wrong.
So question to the Bandit, how much would you estimate is a minimal cost to start affiliate streaming and make if viable – I know you mentioned in an earlier post that you were making pretty substantial losses at the beginning. There must be a fair few who think it is easy money and fall by the wayside
Don’t worry I’m not going into competition for 3 reasons
1. I don’t do online slotting
2. i don’t have the cash
3. Most damningly, I’m about as funny as a rattlesnake in your boot 🙂
Just to point out I don;t care how much you earn etc etc, anyone who can sit and press a slot machine button for 5 hours or more twice a week and turn it into a video to entertain people deserves every penny they get!
20th March 2019 at 6:58 pm #56422It’s a business and i suppose like any business you’d need a cash flow. Taking running costs into the equation i would imagine you’d need a decent amount. I’m not going to guess an amount as im clearly not in the industry but i do know setting up businesses is not as easy as people think.
20th March 2019 at 7:02 pm #56423Ive kinda wondered this too mate.
I bet its a pretty high number due to every single streamer doing minimum 3 quid spins and streaming 4 or 5 times a week nowadays. But i bet if you had a bangin personality like Steve does, you could do it for way less and get a decent income from it by being an affiliate.
Bandit did 60p to a quid spins like every other fucker a few years back, and he got thousands following him pretty sharpish.
Im guessing anyone who is relateable, and is a funny fucker would have a good shot at making a decent wad out of it.
NO MATTER WHAT STAKES THEY PLAYED.

Thats exactly what I thought, but many of these streamers that start up don’t seem like they have the jobs which would generate a cash flow. Jimbo is a chef, that’s a pretty poorly paid occupation, and Craig is certainly not a London banker. And that’s just two that I can think of.
I know Nick saved a lot of money by cutting his acting classes before he had finished them 🙂

NickSlots would make a fucking killing if he was on TOWIE

There’s only so many punters to go round and it must be getting more difficult to attract them without a gimmick of some sort

He is on TOWIE, its just not the show you are thinking of.
Nick has a one man show called TOWIE – The Only Wanker In Ere 🙂

Yeah your right mate.
The tide will turn at some point, and there will be a new niche for new gamblers/creators to get their teeth into.
Only takes one person to think of a good idea and it takes off like fuck!
20th March 2019 at 7:12 pm #56433It’s a Tricky 1 tbh…
Lets just say Stevie does 2 videos a week on average, that’s 104,000 a year + some extra deposits when it doesn’t go to well say 20% of the time that’s another £20,200 on top.. Plus expenses of set up, say £5,000 a year for food etc.
Round it up to £130,000 a year without a guarantee. For Stevie to get a return on this he would need his affiliate to spend in excess of £1,500,000 @8%=£130,000 a year.
Dont quote me here though as the figures may be off, and expenses may be a lot higher ? as the wife loves Asda I heard. ?

I don’t know whether it is saturated. People come and go all the time. People turn 18 and will explore new ways to gamble. Competition and new laws is the only thing in my opinion which would adversely affect the future of streamers.

Bet if he reads this he’ll be pissing himself laughing thinking these lot don’t have a clue. ??

He wins that on Reel King 🙂 Of course for start up streamer they will be using bonus funds a lot of the time, and they don’t have the expenses that Bandit has for giveaways etc. But even taking that into account I have seen streamers using bonus money go through £500 of their own money in a 20 minute video.
So the bottom line is that you must have to have a good pot to start with or you stand the risk of crashing out pretty damn quickly, and if you don’t post regularly people move on.
20th March 2019 at 7:18 pm #5643820th March 2019 at 7:19 pm #56441I think it’s a real shame the stakes have risen so much amongst streamers as it is a bit more unrelatable (not high stake specials just standard £4 a spin) and it does push those stakes as the norm which they aren’t
I’ve often thought about streaming my own sessions at 0.20p but like you and JB said you need either a big pot to keep the videos long and regular, an awesome personality or a lovely set of tits otherwise I’m sure you’d fall by the wayside. Also deposit bonuses make a huge difference, some get stupid amounts like 300%. If you type casino into twitch hundreds show up with 0 – 5 viewers lol
20th March 2019 at 7:24 pm #56449or a lovely set of titsLOL – reminds me of K Blackwood. Blonde babe who would stream, swear in a sexy accent and people would send her donations to play on line. Not sure what happened to her.
Sadly I suspect that slapping my wedding tackle on the computer desk and swearing will not generate the same levels of income – even with a super powered zoom webcam
