I decided to go Gamstop again for another 6 months at least and stop watching streamers, posting on forums etc.
There hasn’t been any big incident. Since January I’d place my total overall losses at about 3.5k, which is obviously money I could have better spent or kept but I’m not bothered by it, the loss doesn’t cause me any problems.
But after losing 2.5k in one session for the 3rd time in a month and 2 and a half months of frequent play recycling money in and out, winning, losing, winning it back, winning some more, chucking it all away, winning some back again, losing again…I had a moment after the last time where I realised I just don’t want this any more. It’s not doing anything for me. Got to a point I always ended up on roulette because the slots bored me so much, most of the time seems like they won’t do anything exciting, the big wins do happen but they’re pretty few and far between and I no longer enjoy floating a few hundred quid on small stakes for hours, it’s just boring. Roulette is a fast way to win big and lose bigger. I suppose at least that provided a bit of excitement but thrilling as it is when you see your jackpot number come in, so it is galling when you cover 35-45% of the wheel for at least money back and see the ball somehow religiously avoid large entire sections of the wheel for as much as 30 consecutive spins.
I’ve enjoyed following and watching the Bandit since his channel started in what, 2016? I’ve enjoyed this forum and community.
I’m not looking for some melodramatic 21 gun salute here btw, I just have had a nice enough time chatting to and getting to know some of you (as much as one does on a forum anyhow) that I felt I should just say why I’m not going to be here any more.
This is the first time I’ve ever quit gambling because it’s what I wanted to do rather than because I felt like I wasn’t in control. Why keep that little parasite in my head alive by watching others gamble or talking about it online? I’m glad to have got rid of it. Seven days without gambling now and first time I’ve gone that long and haven’t missed it at all or wistfully thought about it at all. My only regret is what I’ve wasted in 15 years (which astonishingly is less than the Bandit has lost on a single Saturday afternoon, on the other hand a lot more relative to my income). But even that I don’t care any more, I’m content to let it go.
Thanks for the good times and support Steve, and other forum members (you know who you are).
Hope your gambling adventures remain fun, responsible and safe.
Goodbye from Argyl!

Surely if someone says “slots aren’t random” 3 times on here, you’ll appear?
