So today I had to nip into town and got a gamble urge. Since I’m excluded from online and mass bookies ban I popped into the local arcade.
Now I put money in to slot and played for a bit but my god was it boring,, does anyone have any stories of winning in these places??
It just seamed to be a place to lose money quick,, last year I did 80 quid on 20p stake on a game called the prospector (I think) it paid no bonus and about 3 quid in winnings. Garbage no fun what’s so ever. Then I’ve tried a few other times with similar results.
Has any one won anything worth wild? Or is it just a slower way to get rinsed then the bookies. At least once in a blue moon a fobt pays something.
26th January 2019 at 7:59 pm #43222Unfortunately had many sessions in the arcades mate. Only a few profitable visits. If I go I tend to play the communities. I’ve had plenty of jackpots repeats off as little stake as 25p. So 800x is not bad at all. That’s been mainly boogie nights, Elvis or rainbow games. They can eat your money very easily though once putting about 700 in for a bonus. So overall I’m quite a bit down. Fortunately living in a village I don’t go into my nearest town unless I have to lol.
26th January 2019 at 8:10 pm #43227I used to love playing in the arcades years ago but that was when the actual machines where pretty decent – Homers Meltdown, Homers Beerguide, Space Invaders, Jackpot and the Beanstalk, Casino Crazy, Crazy Fruits, Meet the Mod, Monopoly 60, Bonanza, Coronation Street; all decent games and I could spend hours on them without getting board.
Now they have all changed to golden games, party times, £2 a spin machines and then some cheeky twat sticks an ATM in there that you have to pay to use.
I don’t go anymore mate but would love to visit a retro arcade. Something Ive been thinking of doing for a long time. Have all the old fruitys and arcade machines in (Mortal Kombat, House of the Dead, Silent Scope etc.)
26th January 2019 at 8:23 pm #43244Some old classics in that lot Andy. Mortal kombat lol. I was more of a tekken 2 player or street fighter. I never mastered Sega rally but I had a good go.
26th January 2019 at 9:31 pm #43272Yeah I miss the old type of machines. Crazy fruits was a great slot. Didn’t know they where places that do retro games like them. Is it London only? Wouldn’t surprise me.
I would love to go to one tho. Seems like back then you got a lot more fun for miles less money
700quid that’s terrible I can imagine it tho. The games seem impossible to win on. I do like the rainbow riches slots but bonuses when there arrive are always for 30 quid max.
26th January 2019 at 9:33 pm #43273Well for me anyway. Only time I’ve ever hit the 500 quid jackpot was a lucky spin on big cheese at butlins. Off 10 quid Did 9 quid worth of 50p spins last spin on a quid. Hit bonus 500 quid. Only been at butlins 5 min ? so paid for weekend
26th January 2019 at 9:36 pm #43274I think it’s only London. Ones called Mr. P’s can’t remember name of the other but both in the South. I’d love to go. You wouldn’t get me out of there but I live too far away.
26th January 2019 at 9:36 pm #43275as a child i was the master of pacman (can’t find a pic) and king kabab. to this day i rekon i could still remember the order of all the reels if i were to play it again. 5p a spin those were the days
26th January 2019 at 9:39 pm #43276For me the best era of Bandit’s was the 25 jackpot ones. So much fun learning and trying to beat the game. And the variety was massive. Many of times I had £3 went to pub £2 a pint £1 in bandit. Quick board collect £2.40 rounded up to £3. Another pint another £1 in different machine. Had a full night out ?
26th January 2019 at 9:44 pm #43277This was my favourite, all versions ie top dog big cheese. We learnt the reels and the tells could jackpot and repeat twice for 75 quid off a max £40.. Great fun learning and playing. Another good one was battle axe
26th January 2019 at 9:45 pm #43278Ah the days were skill actually meant something. Those were the days. Im even old enough to remember the £4.80 jackpots and £6 tokens. I still play one at the seaside every now and then called line up. One of my old favourites. I am 41 though.
26th January 2019 at 9:52 pm #43283found it 😀 when i used to go to blackpool as a kid they had loads of them lined up i used to go along jacking them all 😀 would love to own this machine 1 day. You would get some machines were some of the lights had went out making me miss when i got skill stop on the board. Thats my excuse and am sticking to it
26th January 2019 at 9:54 pm #43284You’ve put some classics up here guys. Brought back some good memories. ?
