Theres an article in today’s mirror about a woman who used her sons card to deposit on jackpotjoy and ended up winning £13k. (Sorry not sure how to post a link properly) jackpot joy first wouldn’t pay out because they realised it wasnt her card, but after more documents from her, they paid.
It got me thinking about a post I read on here not long ago, where someone used their wives card and the casino wouldn’t pay out. It says in the article that she contacted the gambling commission about it and I wondered if the person from the other post had gone down this route to get the money? If it’s a matter of just sending more documents and a confirmation from the owner of the card with documents then surely the OP from the other post can do this to retrieve their money.
Just a thought 🙂

4th April 2019 at 8:23 am #59074I think it was dc39 and he won 11.5k. Your right he used his missus card but i think he’d also excluded from a sister site mr green so he was really up against it getting paid out.
14th April 2019 at 8:28 am #59075If they were excluded from MrGreen, wouldn’t it be the casinos fault for not realising and letting him deposit there in the first place?
4th April 2019 at 8:41 am #59076I think that’s why he got his deposits back. £200 i think it was but yes it should of been flagged up.

14th April 2019 at 10:08 am #59079Duno how it doesnt flag on an account right away when you try to deposit from a card that is not in the account holders name
4th April 2019 at 10:45 am #59081Yes, I would have thought that but I remember another post here (could have been the same one thinking about it) where the poster used someone else’s card but with the posters name. From what I remember they didn’t get paid out either.
4th April 2019 at 10:57 am #59082It would have been harder to flag up he had self excluded because he used someone else’s card. A simple filling in of a name and address wont flag but if you put your own card in it would. But its interesting that they played out the woman. ?
4th April 2019 at 12:37 pm #59106Yeah, I find it confusing that they paid her out. All this with fraud, but still able to use her 23 year old sons bank card for gambling and still pay her out even though they know it isn’t hers. Can’t really see them paying out just to avoid bad publicity.
She said in the article that she thinks they didn’t want to pay out because 13k is a lot of money to them. To a site like jackpotjoy, 13k is pennies in my opinion!
