Ok so I’ve been gamble free for quite a while now and was reflecting on the last few videos of bandits when he was saying that he on the past had done his bollocks  in .

so here is my story of the weekend that changed my life

casino was BETWIN and I had deposited £20 for weekend footy bets  for some reason it had automatically given me a 40% bonus even though I hadn’t asked

so with £28’in my balance I put my usual 10-15 on the footy and played a few low stake spins with roulette with the rest .

had a few lucky hits getting me from 8 to 78  then 300 then roughly 600

well obviously I was over the moon .tried to withdraw and nope bonus still in play “DAMN casino” well I played through some more roulette down to 100 up to  800 you know the drill . Bonus balance was going nowhere .
It was at this time I realised that roulette only counts for about 5% of the wagering So I decided to play slots .
played Game of thrones and hit a bonus after about 10 spins and chose stark and got a near full screen of symbols .
balance was near £1500 at this point .
well I played for about 4-5 hours and eventually completed the wagering .

so I withdrew £1000 “pending “ and carried in playing with the rest of the £500 putting on  bets etc and playing more roulette .
next day balance was at £2000 so I withdrew another £1750 ish “pending “ and carried on .

for the next 3-4 days my roulette spins has turned from £10 max to £100 minimum . Every slot I was playing was winning on the bonus not just profiting but 100-200 x wins each time . I felt invincible

so at this time I had the following pending

original £1000 “cleared in bank”

£1750  “pending”

£2000  “pending “

£1000 “pending

And £2000 in the balance . All this from £8-13 balance

well this was about to get ugly Real fast

at the time I was in debt management due to Being left with large debt from a horrific split from an ex and payday loans were getting out of control due to poor control on my finances

once the £5750 had cleared I decided to fully pay off lots of my remaining balances . I practically cleared all my debt except my £2000 bank overdraft and a small loan I had .

seeing that I had £2000 in the casino account you would have thought this was a no brainier clear the overdraft but nooooooooo.  let the losing commence .

as I had been playing with the casino money £100-£200 roulette spins didn’t seem out of normal as this wasn’t my money I was playing with it was pure profit .

well £2000 can go pretty quickly when you get 10-15 spins losses on a row .

i felt gutted . … I had won £7750 from a tiny deposit and practically cleared all my debt in a single weekend of playing .

i hadnt realised that at this time I had gone from a small gambler to high stakes practically over night . Why spin £10 and win £36 when you can spin £150 and Win £900 it had happened so many times that weekend .

well I immediately banned myself from every casino I Had live . Banned myself from every bookie in my area and tried to Not think about the £2000 as a loss of my money . But how can you . It was there for me to withdraw clear my overdraft and get back on track . This was my biggest win and loss ever and definitely taught me a lesson that control is mine and mine alone only I could have stopped and this definitely helped me do that .
I’ve had some falling from the wagon like everyone else since but feel like I’ve managed it better since that weekend

One of the biggest issues with gambling is recognising the money in your casino Is actually your own money, and the hole it can get you out of .. when I started playing I’d hear loads of people saying “ cool, £200 up “ then a few days later you’d ask what they did with the winnings and almost always say “ ahh I spunked it, easy come easy go, wasn’t my money anyway “ and so on…..
somebody might have £500 in the casino and splash through it in an evening, but ask them how much they deposit normally in a session they might say “ no more than  £50”, and that’s a weird thing to try and work out,

so listening to stories on here,  one of the things that stands  out is People disconnecting Of casino cash with real cash, and Moneys in the casino bank with their own Money in their own bank …the wrongs it could right but if it vanish “ well I’m no  better or worse off”

Yeah I hear you . I think most gamblers think well I only deposited £50 so I’ve only lost £50 not £1000

20 ——> 5750 is pretty ridiculous.

I’d say most of us wouldn’t call shooting off the last 2000 as a loss.

If by chance you redeposited the full withdraw amount and then a few thousand of your own, that would make the story much worse.

good for you on self banning after a big cash out. Now they’ll never get that money back and if they do, it’ll be 20 at a time. Not many can walk away.

Won 6k in a landbased, to be ‘caught’ by the personel being at the ATM again. I waved it off it’s part of the game, but yeah.

Or, reach your daily payment limit on card, to later realise ive blown 6k from my payment card which has a daily limit of obviously 6k.

Having a balance of 10k, to hit withdrawl, leave, come back a few hours, and still being in that mood, to blow the complete 10k to the ground, duhhhh.

But as you go along you’ll learn and be more discipline’d. This is what i take, this is what i keep onto the account for a later moment. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

But one of the regular casino’s i play online at, has bin changing all sorts of stuff. Removed any gamble feature on games. Limited the max bets, and in email answerring it was the providers choice, while other simular casino’s in the country that i live do have the max bet. The games DO play different and for example, extra chilli is’nt so tight on the gamble feature at this particuler casino.

OR, getting a bonus dropped in, 50% extra of a maximum of 150 euro, so basicly dropping in 400 leaves me with 550, to hit the big bucks, to realise that i have to wager up to 7k which was litterally impossible because no game was doing anything at all. So i kind of feel they calculated that i was about to win and they wanted to lower the risk by tadaaaaa, dropping in a deposit bonus. This is a good discussion point btw. I think casino’s can see on average when a player wins, and based on that info expect ditch in a bonus or not.

It left me with such a bad feeling that i’m not playing there anymore. I mean i dropped thousands in over the last few months. The only way to vote is with your wallet, let m have it. It used to be such a positive casino, geezus christ.
