So being 18 stupid and trying to save for a car i put £50 in blackjack to see if i could reach my hopes of getting some more money towards it. When my £50 lost i tried chasing it back, which ended up after about 30 minutes being £900 down?, tried contacting sky bet to see if they would refund it which was a massive longshot, and of course they said no. Proper slap in the face how dangerous online gambling is, guess ive learnt so early on in life. I have no will power so everything i was loosing i was trying to get back which is what killed me. Pure devestated
8th December 2018 at 10:49 am #27626Yeah you have to be careful with the online stuff as it can get very dangerous very quick, i would advise some limits in place like £50 monthly or something, it is hard to just accept the first loss when it is a table game i find, as you don’t really get any play from it and it is over so quickly, i try my best to stay away from the online tables – i do quite enjoy the land based roulette though, in a proper casino, not a bookie of course!

Welcome to the world of gambling, quit now is my suggestion lol or in years to come like myself and many others it is scarey to think how much money we could have in the bank if never started.
8th December 2018 at 6:57 pm #27722This might sound strange but I wished I had taken a beating like that when I started gambling. Trust me mate it’s a decent eye opener for you. I’ve got two failed marriages behind me and only last month cleared the last of my debts by working like a twat for the last few years to cover my outgoings. A few silly mistakes cost me massively over the years.
Take the loss and stay away. I find just watching the videos on here gives me my fix.
Best piece of advice – don’t lie to your parents or other half about it. If they ask tell them the truth explain that you have learnt from it. It makes you a better person and saves a lot of shit later on. Trust me.

Do you think this is because you actually have to place the chips manually each round? online it is just so easy to click rebet and when losing that double stake button feels like it just flashes in your face lol
9th December 2018 at 12:06 am #27791Young Man! you have your whole life in front of you to look forward to, you may see many people online who collect tens of thousands from table games, however you don’t see the may millions across the planet whose lives have been miserable through gambling losses, I count myself one of those people, I wish I could wind back the clock back when I was 18 and start again. There are many options out there that you can look at, I recommend Gamstop, a simple 5 minute registration process will exclude you from just about every casino out there ( providing you are a UK citizen. Not here to preach fella but just make you aware of an option.
Take Care.
11th December 2018 at 10:23 am #28150Thanks for all the nice comments, will really take everything you all have been saying on board, its so easy on table games to bet massive as your looking at a “virtual” balance when in reality handing over £££ for 1 hand etc would be an instant put off for me. Watching streamers constantly putting up big wins from roulette to blackjack was very enticing. But as you are saying theyre more than likely loosing thousands for a few thousand. £900 may seem alot to the younger ages but in truth people who are in the older years with more money have done 10x+ in years.
Huge appreciation for the eye openers
4th January 2019 at 11:57 am #34248You clearly have a bright future ahead of you with your optimistic outlook on life.
Definition of optimism: He who contacts an online casino and asks if they can have there money back as they couldn’t afford to lose it.
Good luck in the future dude and stay away from gambling, it will totally fuck up your life
4th January 2019 at 6:58 pm #34347Had a similar experience when I was about 19 mate deposited 100 quid and worked my way up through doing 10-20 and then 50 quid bets on Blackjack until I had a decent balance. It just didn’t feel like I could lose. A few 300 quid bets here and there in one massive 5 hour session and I was up at 2k!
I thought one more bet. 500 quid and I’ll leave it… ended up losing the lot and maxing my overdraft at the start of December. Never felt so low in my life having to explain to your parents and family why you can get Xmas presents for them. Taught me a valuable lesson early on though but I feel your pain! Just make sure you remember the lesson ??
6th January 2019 at 1:44 pm #34777Been there done it lad, best advice is only have one online casino and put a limit on it , or 2 if you want different slots etc but half the limit on each.
works for me , and only for slots no table games etc as they can be over in seconds.
if you are a gambler you will always want a punt, but keep the online sensible and you will feel 10x better about yourself.
i put £50 into lotto land on payday and play golden fish tank, bonus or bust. Tbh ive had mixed luck doing that but at least on payday can afford to lose it and then i use the other £50 in the other casino throughout the month when i fancy a bash, works for me lad.
