Hi everyone,
I just span approx 2500 spins on the Bonanza slot on various stakes from £2-£20 spending over £5000…
In all those spins (over two separate sessions) I did not get ANY bonuses at all. I played at I believe a well known casino but I can’t help but think there is a glitch/error with the slot so that a bonus can’t land? Of course I understand that slots are luck but with the RTP % surely I should have got lots of bonuses or at worse at least one?? I’ve requested all the spin transaction details from the site because this doesn’t seem right to me and I feel like I’ve been scammed. I was never intending to deposit anywhere near that amount of money but get ploughing on to hit the bonus as it “surely must be due by now”. I honestly feel sick.
I’d appreciate it if people could give me their thoughts on this? Anyone else ever had this many spins without a bonus feature?
I want to complain but feel like they will just give standard template reply that I was just unlucky but if there is a problem with the slot how would be know?? I should have move on but after putting thousands into it you of course want to see the bonus!
Thanks,
James
8th March 2019 at 5:03 pm #535068th March 2019 at 5:04 pm #53507Unfortunately no scam mate. The record on here is 16000 spins without a bonus on bonanza.
8th March 2019 at 5:08 pm #53509There’s roughly a 0.51% chance of this happening, so you’ve probably just got insanely unlucky.
Bonanza is one of the hardest slots out there to bonus (average is roughly 1 in every 474 spins). Plenty of other reports on this forum of playing a huge amount of spins with no bonus.
It’s very unlikely that it’s broken, although it can often feel that way! You can always ask them to validate the spin transactions with the provider to check it’s working as intended.
Hope your luck improves in the future bud, slots can be a nightmare! Just remember: bonuses are never due.
8th March 2019 at 5:19 pm #53511I have span a little over 100,000 spins and my longest wait for the bonus was around 2300 spins, so yeah it does happen now and again. I’ve had gold plus 5 drop in after a few spins before, just the way it goes

There is no scam here other than you scamming yourself 🙁 You have fallen into the slot players delusion of assuming that a bonus is due. If you read up anywhere on this subject every spin is independent of every other spin, hence nothing is ever due.
Complaining to the Casino that you didnt get a bonus is just likely to generate much mirth at the other end of the email trail and will not get you anything.
Quite simply, you gambled, you lost – need to learn the lesson and move on. If I may offer a personal non offensive view, gambling £20 a spin on a slot which as someone else said bonuses maybe every 500 spins is just insanity, you either have to have immense luck, a bottomless wallet or go by the name of NickSlots (in which case it is probably a dodgy win anyway 🙂 )
28th March 2019 at 8:26 pm #53545I do t doubt this is your experience but not really identifying with it TBH. I play Bonanza a LOT. I have never waited more than 1000 spins for a bonus.
if I’m on it I can did in and out if the game. Today I dmhad a first spin bonus at 80p – went for 145x. That’s one of 6 or 7 bonuses today. I am up on the game over last 48 hours but some margin. Four or five bonus yesterday. All bonuses 60p to £2 stake across Bet365 and Casumo.
Played it one day last week and got 4 bonuses in the session and broke even. Couple of poor bonuses among them.
Still waiting for my big bonobos bonus hit – best so far 375x. Base game hits include 350x, 200x and a number in the 150x region.

Just had the accurate stats sent as follows:
Wager amount: £14465.80
Total payouts: £8638.61
RTP: 59%
Net winnings: -£5827.19
Number of payouts: 852
Slot game theoretical return to player: 95.98%
No. of wagers: 2209Thing that gets me is my RTP %. It is no where near 95.98%!! @Dune2000 totally agree £20 a spin was completely degenerate just as I’d been waiting so long for a bonus couldn’t deal with a disappointing one! NickSlots £5 bet hits £27,000 if only that happened in real life lol
The site I played had the auto spins button taken out. Does anyone know if that means it is a different version than the one with the auto spin function? I don’t really understand why they would take it out?
@burders sounds like you took all my bonuses… anyone think stake makes a different with amount of bonuses? Lower the stake more chance of bonuses?
@biohazard 0.51% chance?? How did you work that out? I always thought that bonuses have to be given out eventually depending on how much you wager, like there is a invisible line that once you cross it without a bonus it’s forced to give you one. That’s what’s it felt to me on all the other sites and slots I’ve played (I’ve played a lot!). Never ever had this happen to me on that many spins, normally a few hundred and a bonus hits. I’ve had many a rubbish bonus (even once had £0 on Pink Elephant…) but thought that was the name of the game, you are gonna eventually get a bonus just depends how good it is. I guess I’m just falling for the gambler’s fallacy?
Suppose there’s someone out there betting £5 who has just hit 1000x with my money!!
9th March 2019 at 1:29 am #535799th March 2019 at 8:45 am #53595My last session of the week last night on Bonanza and I’ve just gone 1000 spins without a bonus and I’m now even on it this week so leaving it alone for another bash another time.
Your base game RTP was 59% which I can believe as I see that sort of return during bonusless base game play. The thing here is Theretical RTP. Now Bio is really the one to explain this but I’m guessing that the additional RTP you would have required to meet the RTP states in the Game Rules, would have come from a bonus or bonuses – but you didn’t get any of course so you’re stuck down at 59% relating to base game play. Of course there is nothing to say the bonuses you might have received would have boosted RTP to the Game Rules level, who knows a bonus or bonuses might have boosted you way into profit, giving you an RTP in excess of order 100% – we will never know. As Bio has said on many occasions however, RTP is calculated over the course did many millions of spins and your session, whilst a long and expensive one, does not come near to the level of play required to mirror Stateed RTP – no ones session can. We hope to get in a slot make a hit or hits and move on before it inevitably rinses us.
Feel for you though on that loss, it hurts I know.
9th March 2019 at 12:12 pm #53642Bad luck mate but as what’s been said it can take one spin or thousands, personally I will stick about £120 through it on £2 and if it hasn’t bonused it’s fuck it , onto something else , too much chance of getting a shitty bonus after sticking thousands in
9th March 2019 at 10:34 pm #53596LOL at hurts
I was pissed off when I lost £100 playing some crappy slot in the bookies – losing £5,827 would have me weeping on the floor – as well as the additional grand to replace my laptop if I actually played on line and got ass raped like that.
It’s stories like this that convince me not to touch online slots with a shitty stick. So my thanks to the OP for highlighting what can, and does, happen to many people on a daily basis. Thank god the bandit is here to give me a free viewing 🙂
Too many variables, high volatility, low volatility blah blah, my brain hurts reading most of the stuff
