As was mentioned in sunday/monday video, bonus buys are not going to be available any longer on uk sites, just a quick question. Does that mean online sites situated in the UK or for all UK players regardless the country the casino is based. If a UK player is on holiday and accesses their account while abroad in another country that does allow bonus buys is the option then available to them or is it not? Would they have to open a new account? is that even allowed? is it the option denied to one based on their nationality or where they are playing from? As I may be going on holiday soon and quite like the option of buying bonus occassionally would be good to hear any1’s feed back on this ?
8th October 2019 at 6:25 am #81249I think it’s for all UK players regardless of the nationality of the site. You can’t create a new account if you already have an account there, nor use a VPN if you went out of the country. It’s against the T&Cs, and if you were to attempt to cashout, they wouldnt allow it 🙂
8th October 2019 at 9:09 am #81257Its tracked on your jurisdiction. Im British but live in Malta, so I can still get them. (Business idea, you can play them on my account and i get 5% of any withdrawals. Genius!)
But if i signed up in the UK… and then moved to Malta, like I did with Casumo, then I wont get them.
18th October 2019 at 9:44 am #81258So even though you live in Malta now, casumo wont let you have the buys? What would happen if you were to move back to the UK? Would you still be allowed the bonus buys or would they be removed?

you see what I I mean it’s all crazy really how paper trails and territories define us as people sometimes and what we can or cant not do or are or are not allowed to do. glad I asked this question now it is very interesting. keeps the cobwebs off the brain at any rate 🙂
8th October 2019 at 4:00 pm #81280Are they actually banning bonus buys? I’ve not seen any confirmation of this.

Yeah bandit couldn’t buy fishing frenzy bonus in his last video ..am nit sure if they have all had the “ snip” yet, but it won’t be long
8th October 2019 at 10:34 pm #81296I welcome it tbh I think it’s pretty savage especially chilli and vikings,
I had no idea it would work like that like <span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>you can’t buy on casumo because you signed up in the UK I would have thought it would be on actual location, like you can have smoke in some countries while your there like Holland but not home lol</span>
9th October 2019 at 3:09 am #81298I’m in New Zealand and bonus buys are blocked to me on Videoslots now and Extra Chilli doesn’t even come up in the search results on Bet Victor. I’m disappointed as it is my favourite game, yeah I know it can be absolutely horrible at times but I enjoy the option of buying a bonus.

Yeah I have to agree …. over all I know the bonus buys are a turd system and for the greater good they need to go, but when it came to chilli I actually liked the option ….. and chilli has been very very very kind to me even with many turd spins …so I’m sad to see chilli lose the option , but happy that ( in my opinion) some absolute asshole games are loosing it like genie megaways or the wolf/ buffalo megaways
11th October 2019 at 10:41 am #81418I never did bonus buys, but i am glad to see the back of them. But the issue i have is with the UKGC,ok they are trying to ”protect” players ,but you can still do 10k bets on table games, you can still spin (on some slots) £100+ on slots. Its as if The UKGC don’t actually think about a situation before they act.
The UKGC need to be careful, because for UK players i can only see the problem getting worse. I would go as far as saying that max bets may soon be down as low as £2 like the FOBT’s. And if that does happen its not going to be viable for the current UK Licensed casinos to trade in the UK. We have already seen a number of casino groups pull out of the UK market already.
This could lead to a influx of rouge Casino sites taking advantage of the situation, so that is why the UKGC need to be careful and think more before banning something over a problem that a small minority of people have. Because id like to think on a whole most online gamblers are in control and bet within there means, Should they have to be punished for the small minority who can’t control there gambling?
111th October 2019 at 8:34 pm #81444UKGC is spot on with bonus buys. Looking at the maths side of things, you are only making variance even more extreme with slots like Chilli and Vikings Unleashed etc. It is no coincidence that they are very hard slots to bonus in the base game.
If the RTP of a bonus buy is around the 96% mark, you are going to have to buy in the thousands before you hit that expected rate of return.
For a hardcore gambler that could mean losses in the thousands if not tens of thousands of pounds if variance runs against you.
Streamers can afford bonus buys because they have the insurance of affiliate commission to back them up when that variance turns against them To us mere mortals unless we are very lucky they are bad news.
