we were all sad when the UKGC stopped bonus buys …people sepnding £100 on one buy etc ..but i think they missed a trick …they could have kept them but capped them at £20 ….because if you look at games like Flamebusters where you can turbospin £100 in seconds and lose just as much .
some providers are trying to get around that …what are your thoughts on UKGC getting rid of bonusbuys
6th April 2020 at 9:38 pm #93126I can see why they banned them, especially the more dangerous ones like Extra Chill, but I find myself losing more money now on games like Sweet Bonanza where all I want to see is one bonus, regardless of the win, but now find myself playing through 200 times stake and think I could’ve bought 2 for this, it’s quite annoying.
And yes some people are idiots and did themselves in with them but surely there has to be some accountability for the individual. And you’re right about some games that quick spin, Napoleon can waste money quicker than any bonus buy.
6th April 2020 at 10:02 pm #93131Some bonus buys I didnt agree with at all. Extra chilli for example, you could buy the bonus to gamble the spins and it screw you over time and time again. Horrible game in my opinion. White rabbit wasnt too bad because although it paid shite 70% of the time, it was a guaranteed bonus when you bought it. I’m not too kean on the ones where you can choose mystery, just because of the same reason as chilli. It can screw you with a 5 x 1. Yeah it’s the gamblers choice on what to choose, but I don’t think it was a good idea doing that. The best buy I’ve seen is the genie megaways one. Yeah that can screw you too, but guaranteed a bonus and it can go whappy.
13th August 2020 at 9:51 am #102673I’m sad never did bonus boys after watching bandit getting stuffed on extra chillies Vikings unleashed
So just played but did find most games difficult to bonus
13th August 2020 at 3:33 pm #102705Outlawing bonus buys just further proves how incompetent government / authorities are. This is because:
1) You can bet £100+ per spin on roulette and other table games
2) You can play Blueprint “all action” slots e.g. Diamond Mine All Action
3) You can play Barcrest “big bet” slots e.g. Ooh Aah Dracula
4) You can bet £100+ per spin on Monopoly Live and Dream Catcher
If the authorities wanted to do this, then they should have either done it properly or not done it at all. It’s like trying to ban all fast food restaurants but McDonald’s and Burger King are still allowed.
