It’s been bugging me for ages.
I like to bet on lower league football, especially the Welsh Leagues. Tonight I put a bet on Aberdare Town v Aberbargoed Buds. It’s live on Bet365 and I’m waiting for the 4th goal to go in. The game is showing cards, corners etc live in play on Bet365 – My question is though, who is at this game feeding the data back to 365?
It simply mystifies me as it’s not on any Radio and certainly not on the TV. Can anyone help out?

all monitored by a team of traders, that suspend and reform the markets based on the odds they want to offer
9th January 2019 at 9:31 pm #35860Thanks but it doesn’t really answer my question, in this league, there are 45-70 people at the game, who is sending the in game data? Unless I’m missing something there has to be some at the game, which is a bit mental.
9th January 2019 at 9:37 pm #35863Are you at the game, is the market spot on with its suspensions each time a goal goes in or is there a delay?
9th January 2019 at 9:38 pm #35864There are always people ahead of the market in tennis for example and this will usually be down to “courtsiders” relaying information back to someone in a creative way lol
9th January 2019 at 9:44 pm #35867I’m not but I had a little bit of very minor inside information on the game with the players fit for Aberdare Town (interesting fact, they played in the English League System, Div 3, back in the 30’s).
In my mind, there would have to be someone at the game, ready to “press a button” when a goal, corner, etc occurs – but how can that be? The game is not broadcast, as far as I know, anywhere on any medium.
Very puzzled.
This is the second tier of Welsh football, some good players but basically decent pub teams.

It’s what I suspected but couldn’t quite bring myself to believe it. There must be quite a few in Wales as some of the games are 180 miles apart on really quite awful roads.
That’s why some games go “blank” which basically means the watcher has gone off for a slash 🙂
9th January 2019 at 9:53 pm #35878Just goes to show how profitable sports betting must be for the large sites like B365 what with mugs like me betting on Welsh League Div 2 games.
On some nights there must be 40+ lower league games (below National League) live in play. Makes you think
9th January 2019 at 10:04 pm #35883and the trick is….. get to know one of them, have them press for a goal when there hasn’t been one and cash in lol Sometimes there is a “correction” to the score eh 😀
9th January 2019 at 10:08 pm #35888I’m not saying the thought hasn’t crossed my mind, surely they can’t be paid that much? Strange business all in all.
9th January 2019 at 10:32 pm #35900the long term value is in the data, more data the better the compilers programs work. Far more data on the higher leagues, same rules but would expect the game data to be very different.
costs won’t be that high, couple of hours pay and travel expenses… nothing if you can sell the data to big companies multiple times over.
Tablet computer and data connection.
Peanuts if your creating a betting market as well as improving database going forward.
9th January 2019 at 10:38 pm #35903If there’s someone at the game reporting back just hope it’s not Chris kamara then you would be fucked. ????
19th January 2019 at 10:44 pm #35908Very interesting.
One thing though, selling that data… it’s really only B365 that covers this low a league so in fact I don’t think the market is that large? What do you think?
There can be no worries about collusion as a large bet on this type of game and then a corresponding match event would start the alarms at Bet365 HQ.
