Hi,
I’ve a few online casino accounts all of which have been opened and registered from Ireland. Every now and again I will play abroad when on holiday.
Has anyone else been queried about IP address changes, particularly from different countries?
I have a withdrawal pending that I hope won’t be held up. The withdrawal and associated deposit were made when outside of Ireland.
I’d love to hear how you faired from similar things happening you.
Cheers

31st January 2019 at 2:00 pm #45107I’ve checked their T&c’s …not much mentioned about it. Only that residents can play only.
I imagine loads of people play when on holidays.
if they opened up the issue I imagine that casinos would have to refund far more deposits made abroad than honour winnings won abroad when on holidays.
31st January 2019 at 2:10 pm #45112I would call using that as an excuse to void payouts abhorrent and illegal. Remember small print cannot bypass law and it cannot bypass morals. Isn’t it time the gaming commission and these “companies” were taken to task on these utterly sick methods ?
31st January 2019 at 5:15 pm #45166Are you using 4g on your mobile while on holiday or wifi? With 4g majority of the time you should be ok but bit of a grey area if using another countrys wifi as the laws may differ in that country
31st January 2019 at 5:32 pm #45172The other country is Sweden so definitely not an issue with the law. There are casino ads on the radio and tv 24 7 there.
I was probably on both 4g and WiFi.
Thing is that they’ve asked for the reason of 2 IP addresses in one day. Unless my 4g came up as Ireland I can’t see why there’d be two In One day. Hopefully they realise I was just on holiday (which I’ve told them) and release my withdrawal without being overly fussy.
31st January 2019 at 5:53 pm #45176Hopefully you get paid out but most likely they wont as they try to find anything not to these days
31st January 2019 at 5:57 pm #45179you can probably check the casino site aswell to see if that casino is available in that country just to be on the safe side. I mainly have experience with only using 4g abroad so not entirely sure how it differs when using that countries wifi
31st January 2019 at 9:20 pm #45262I had my coral account locked just for trying to login when in Spain, even blocked my connect card so couldnt login in the bookies of the FOBT. Weridly was fine betting and slotting with Bet365 for the 6 months I was there. Guess it depends on the site/casino.
