Poker players are constantly trying to find an edge, albeit against other players and this is considered normal. If they were gaining an edge against the casino theyd either because accused of cheating or the casino would put things in place to stop it.
Just look at this article about poker player Phil Ivey, in my eyes he found an edge and won millions from it but the casino accused him of cheating cheatin.
