Just a review on my crypto gambling experiences. Please bare with it as there’s a lot to cover. Hopefully this may help anybody who suffers the same fate as me.
I joined 500 casino and got into the crypto side of gambling and it’s turned into a bit of a nightmare really. I am an amateur where Crytpo is concerned and it is quite a headache to say the least. After about a week of starting my journey I’ve hit a few barriers and had several bad experiences.
joined 500 casino no issues, I hit the same problem like most people with being in the UK so a VPN had to be used. I started off with Coinbase for my deposits and transfers to the casino. It’s hard work to get your funds to where they need to be but once done several times pretty straight forward or so you think. Things started turning bad with 500 casino and Coinbase. I was using ETH primarily for my deposits but thought I’d switch to USDC for a cheaper alternative. I transferred to 500 as usual and my payment never popped up so I contacted 500 support. Basically they don’t accept USDC deposits through BASE network, not that means a lot to me. It was for £350. This is now somewhere in the atmosphere floating about and can’t be retrieved by either 500 or Coinbase. I need to wait until 500 accept BASE network payments and that is only if they ever do! That will then be deposited to my 500 account in the future. I appreciate this could be partly my fault but there’s very little clarity on deposits. I thought this was just a case of selecting the coin I want to deposit and it would be sent as per the other coins I’ve used.
All of a sudden after a few thousand pounds transactions through Coinbase my account was blocked from making transactions from any type of payment method. This had a limit of around £3,500 remaining the day before. Contacted support and they are seriously bad! Couldn’t and wouldn’t tell me as to why. I kept getting sent links for that topic, basically the support team was either incompetent or just didn’t want to deal with it. I washed my hands of them, nothing ventured nothing gained in the end.
i then switched to Crypto.com, again came up against a lot of hurdles, but managed to start getting my transactions across to 500 using primarily ETH again and trying out BTC and XRP. The fees were crazy for some of those. Example £200 deposit on each of the crypto’s came out with a balance of roughly BTC £130, ETH £160, XRP £190. Anyway things have gone bad again, after loads of smaller transactions of about £200 a time no issue. I then (stupidly) opted to transfer £1000 in XRP as the back and forth
authenticating was a headache. I authorized the payment through my bank and when I returned to Crypto.com, it said there was a price change and kicked me out of the payment. My £1000 was taken from my account and no money deposited in my Crypto wallet. Again I had to go to their live support. This is hidden on the drop down menu and under the settings tab, already alarm bells. Spoke with someone and explained about the transaction mentioned and was told I need to speak to a specialist. Booted me from the convo and a message came up saying the specialist team were currently busy and would get back to me in under 2 hours. After 8 hours not heard a thing, so contacted again and still waiting. Started looking into both crypto companies and it’s not pretty reading! The support on both sites is absolutely non existent by the look of things. It seems it’s great when all working but if you have an issue stand by to get absolutely no help and feeling left robbed.
I have had to call my bank to dispute the £1000 charge and will be refunded once cleared in the bank. The crypto world is extremely sub par to the financially world we currently know today.
Please be aware if you do incur an issue you’re pretty much on your own with no answers. Good luck!
