Just logged into the forum via my phone and I have an app that tells me if websites I go visit are secure etc.
Well it’s telling me that biam has had a data breach and prompts me to change my password?
Not sure how legit this is but a heads-up can’t hurt.

The padlock means the site uses SSL which is what is used on all major sites and those that take card payments etc have to have this in place I think your app is telling porkies

On a serious note reset your password and dont save it in just the browser use something like samsung secure.
117th December 2019 at 10:39 am #84927I don’t actually save passwords on my phone cos I mostly use my work phone.
Was thrown off cos it lists biam as the potentiàl breach.
Changed all my passwords anyways just incase.

18th December 2019 at 7:48 am #85169I think the pop up is part of this initiative from Google –
https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/11/tech/google-chrome-password-trnd/index.html
It’s checking your username and password against a database to see if that set of credentials has been used and leaked from another site (you must use the same email and password on a site elsewhere that’s been breached)
You can check your email here to see if you’ve had anything leaked out
