They are a thank you to those that support me but every single one that i have ever done, ever, has a route to enter for free.
I never saw that mentioned when you were on YouTube; if you offer a free, non-signup route of entry, you’ve never exactly publicized it. And isn’t it a mandatory legal requirement to offer a free postal entry if you run a no-skill prize draw?
I do think prize draws advertising affiliate links are a direct enticement, struggle to understand an argument that they’re not, I mean it’s literally saying “sign up through my affiliate link, make a deposit, play some games and have a chance of winning a big cash prize”.
I also think i give an incredible amount back in freebies and donations, i am unlike ANY other affiliate streamer/video creator or whatever you would like to call us in that way, no one gives as much back to the community as i do.
The defibriliator is you being charitable, the GamBan licences are you being charitable and it’s genuinely good of you to do those things. The prize draws are a separate issue though. Is the amount you’ve given away more than you’ve collected in CPA commission? Of course not, it’s how you pay for the giveaways and you make money on top. Again – this is NOT a criticism from me, it’d be utterly absurd if you were losing money from your own pocket through doing the giveaways but it remains you wouldn’t get a fraction of the affiliate revenue you do if you weren’t running the prize draws. I have no moral objection whatsoever to affiliation and the prize draws helping to fund your videos but it is a business model like any other.
Yes of course there is a percentage of gamblers watching that will be considered problem gamblers but if i wasn’t here, are you trying to say they wouldn’t be a problem gambler?
Of course they still would be and that’s one point with the pitch-forkers as you say I definitely disagree with them on. But I guess what I’m saying is when people see someone move up from 50p stakes to £4 stakes and see how big their bonuses are, how much money they’re winning, for a problem gambler it will excite the senses and the dopamine in the same way playing at those stakes would and that might make it harder for them to stick to sensible stakes when they play. Is that your problem? No. But again, it is at the very least understandable that some people already in a pretty desperate will think they can try to copy what you do, but without the wallet to back it up. All I’m saying there is what I’ve said in another thread; I think you sometimes forget where you are in relation to the average gambler and what a massive stake per spin even £2-£4 is, let alone £10 and up. You can afford to deposit £3k in one session and risk losing – and fair play to you, it’s your money and you’re entitled to do what you want with it – but you can play that kind of money and yet stand by that you’re not a rich man, despite having an income that puts you firmly in the top 1% of the population.
Im with Argyl on this one sadly :-). Your high stakes videos are exciting without a doubt, but they have the potential to infer that all you have to do is keep at it and you will win big. Those with an easily led personality would look at your £10k win on wild swarm (£20 stake) and huge reel king wins (£16 stake) and think it’s a good example of how to make easy money, and therefore gamble money they cant afford as they don’t have your resources.
For that reason I prefer lower, less tempting and more realistically stakes

That “easily lead person” should maybe pay more attention to the part where The Bandit shows his overall statement from Casumo, -60k. Honestly what more of a deterrent can he give than that?, i’ve literally heard him say over and over again that if you play Casinos you lose.
115th August 2018 at 12:17 am #13524I was going to join a casino anyway, so i opted to use The Bandits affiliate links to Energy, Betfair and Redbet, and Dazza G to Casimba. The only way i could do something to make sure the casino aren’t the only ones who get a piece of the cake. Using their affiliate links doesn’t cost me a dime extra, and it doesn’t change my chances to win or lose, and i would join the casino anyway, with or without affiliate links.
I have watched both The Bandit and Dazza G’s videos on affiliation, and i have seen all their ups and downs, their wins and major losses. I know how slots work, i know i will lose in the long run, but i play some slots for the entertainment. I have set my deposit limits, so i can’t go into full tilt mode and spend more money than i should.
Affiliation is everywhere, even those FitTea models on instagram use it, and that’s most definetly a scam. The streamers playing games with loot boxes are also getting a piece of the cake when you spend your money gambling loot boxes and getting only horseshit from them. Google gives you affilate links when you search for a product, the top results are always Google affilate links.
Get your heads out of your asses, educate yourself on how things work, and stop using children and problem gamblers as a shield to justify bans and censorship. There are problems with addiction everywhere, so pretty much anything can be banned if you start going down that path. It gets easier and easier every time something is banned or censored, and in the end there is nobody left to protest against it, because everyone has allready done their part to make sure something they don’t like is banned.
15th August 2018 at 12:27 am #13525Every video should be of Bandit playing 10p stakes on starburst until he shows an overall loss for the session . That way no idiots will get the impression that you can win at gambling and then he should have links to signup at casinos but really they take you straight to the gambling anonymous website where your name and detals are recorded and they sen domeone round your house to watch you at all times and make sure you never gamble for the rest of your life
115th August 2018 at 3:31 pm #13577Dazza is a bit of a Marmite streamer. You either love or loathe him. I personally think the bloke has character. He might be a moaning, farting, cat bashing old sod but at least he’s true to who he is and doesn’t appear to be putting on an act like some other streamers/video makers (El Bandito not included)! ?
15th August 2018 at 5:40 pm #13586Anyways enough of the fart ripper cat basher dazza all I want to know is when is the next vid coming from the Bandit? Haha ?
