    The reason me & other started this game called poker, with his appearances on Late Night Poker he is a true legend of the game and shall be greatly missed…… A true English gentlemen ?

    My one Devilfish story is that my friend won a £1,000 seat in the Victor Chandler Gold Cup poker event in Victoria casino London around 2005/6 with only 10 players and 3 prizes… Which the Devilfish himself had won a seat in & I didn’t go with him. A few years later I realised my only chance had gone and at the time didn’t really know poker players…. ?

    I don’t play it but have watched it online – I had always thought it was about the “tells”. – players eye movements, nervous twitches etc.  Now you see players in there with hoodies, sunglasses and barely an inch of facial flesh showing.

    Although Jennifer Tilly seems to have gone the other way and made sure no one looks at her face ?

    I was lucky enough to win a seat in this in 2004

    “Ladbrokes poker has announced it will be sending 200 budding Internet card-sharks on a glamorous seven-night poker cruise around the Mediterranean.     The Devilfish was also on board saw him a bit worse for wear at the piano belting out songs

    Along with other regulars from the “Late Night Poker”

    Played in the tourney in one of the 4 flights of 50 players  to get to 12 to play the next day and a prize of $3000 guaranteed After about 14 hours play i crashed out on the Bubble in 13th

    Was never of fan of this guy. Him and the bird that was always on late night poker vicky something. Will give the book a read though.
