Dear Readers,
Let’s presume, although I’ve been around our Reel King champion’s website for a while, this is an introduction with an encouraging message.
Consider me as a low roller, always only depositing what I can afford to lose. You know the €20.- €25.- deposits, once twice a time, playing €0,20 – €0,80 stakes. Always just going for that bit of entertainment which I tell myself every now and then, but is this deeply true?
Our Bandit took a break not long ago to get his head cleared of all the slot shit he had experienced, next to the statement that he couldn’t enjoy playing anymore since he was on the higher stakes constantly. He had to get away from it to regain entertainment and I understand that now.
Last couple of days I’ve deposited a record amount of around €100.- which would normally be around €40.- in my case. Enjoyment was gone, just staring at the slot to hit a freaking bonus, and of course, it did not. Switch game, same old same old. And even when it hit a bonus it turned out to be 10x or less.
I’ve locked my account on the one and only website I’m fully registered to and play on at the moment, until a few days into June.
I only now realize, when I’m not even able to deposit money, how much I think about doing it and realizing I can not do that since the account is closed. Then I think to myself, it’s for the best and leave it as is. Don’t visit the website, don’t try to get it unlocked, it’s your choice, you’ve had enough for a while. Although I seem to have struggles with my feeling, my brain is able to tell me this is the best to do now, since my best mate and I promised we’d go on holiday this summer. It’s these things that make me realize how stupidly I’ve been depositing the past 2-3 days regarding my budget (no I didn’t go over it at all, but just spent more and more over time which I disagree on doing).
All I want to say in this topic to those who (proportionally in order of budget) feel attracted to this story:
Lock yourself out when you feel like it might get out of control. Online casino’s are there for entertainment, and when it’s gone, leave them. Recognize the symptoms, you know yourself best. I can honestly tell you how happy I am to realize I did lock my account for a few weeks manually and not able to deposit any money into it.
I was and am waiting to hit that one slot that FINALLY pays me for the first time over 1000x. It didn’t happen yet, thousands of spins on online slots later. So here I am, telling you that you’re not the only one trying to get that winning spin to make up for all the losses you’ve had.
It’s entertainment, it’s not mandatory to your lifestyle. You can pause it whenever you want, just do it when it’s needed, just like Bandit and I did whenever the situation, whatever that may be, was asking for it.
Other than that, happy gambling, wish you all the best on- and offline!!
This post helped stating my feelings and the ‘wierd’ feeling of not being able to gamble, and it helped!!! So thank you Bandit for this community to open up my heart in this situation too!!
ps. Top-Tip, when you’ve excluded yourself, decide if Bandit’s videos can help you satisfy that gambling feeling whilst watching him play on his sessions! Be true to yourself tho, if you’re attracted to go play yourself because of watching it, whilst you’ve told yourself not to play, stay away and also block video’s that contain gambling straight away to prevent temptation and do something else straight away until you’re good to go again ;).

If Gamstop was a global timeout system then that would be great. As it is, it’s worse than trying to verify with some casinos to re-subscribe to it.
I agree that the OP is in control here….. so am I when I am not drinking!!

18th May 2019 at 5:45 pm #66164I think you’re in pretty good control. You could put deposit limits in when your account is unlocked, that way you won’t be tempted to deposit “one more time” because you simply can’t.
On a personal note, even though I have never lost more than I could afford to I’ve had the same feeling at times that I was depositing too much or too frequent and have fucked up by losing the profit I made just a few days or weeks earlier. Greed isn’t always good 😀 I’ve put in deposit limits and took the occasional time-out. I also used to keep all my transactions logged in a spreadsheet but that seemed to have a negative effect on me, sometimes trying to chase those losses back.
Try to learn from mistakes and try not to feel too bad if you atleast had fun while playing. In the end it’s a hobby and every hobby will cost you money! I used to be into remote control cars and that has costed me an arm and a leg but it was a whole lot of fun 🙂 Sadly had to quit that hobby due to medical issues.
