For anyone thinking the new FOBT roulette is safe . Don’t believe anything spent £1200 today spinning at £2 a go and won fuck all .
granted my green area was about 20% chance so I wasn’t expecting lots of spins but only hit a winning number 20-25 times and nothin was bigger then £45 absolutely pulled me in
1st May 2019 at 10:19 pm #64081Really sorry to hear that but thank you for sharing your loss with us as a warning. I can’t stand the old ones and I don’t I’ll ever pay the new version. Too easy to get carried away but then so it is online too.
If you have a compulsive/addictive personality it’s better to just avoid gambling altogether.
Good luck on your journey beagle.
2nd May 2019 at 12:42 am #64099Haven’t tried the new ones. Pumped a grand in £50 notes into one the last week before they changed. That was the weekend cashy money humped.
2nd May 2019 at 3:07 am #64105Please don’t take this the wrong way Beagle, I have been a roulette addict so I understand the attraction.
But if you are prepared to stick £1200 into a machine, gambling £2 a time to get the chance to gamble at horrific odds you are probably better self excluding.
i don’t even want to know what the odds of hitting a decent win in those new roulette machine is, but winning £500 must be almost impossible.
Not only is the spin much shorter, but I have heard tales of 76 spins (£152) before an individual even got to spin the wheel at the max £30 stake, which he lost.
Look at it this way, with that max £30 spin, you can only cover 2 numbers on the board out of 37 to win £500 – what are the odds on those hitting.
A pointless game to my mind, which all punters should stay away from to send the message to the bookies that their ass raping days are over
2nd May 2019 at 5:29 am #64106I was trying to think a of a slot to liken it to and Millionaire came to mind.
The odds of you winning £500 on that machine are probably significantly worse than getting the bonus and:
Picking A on the ask the audience question when A is sat at 5%, and getting it right
Then being asked to pick 50/50 when there are 19 boxes to choose from.and again getting it right
If you actually got phone a friend, I suggest his response to the questions would “what are you playing that piece of shit for”
With the original roulette if you bet £50 you could have those a number covered and have 13 fallback positions to make a profit, on this game you have no fallback numbers, and bear in mind I once did around 170 spins chasing 0.. On that basis, if you actually hit the green bar every 15 spins (unlikely) and then chased 0, you could theoretically deposit £5100 to “win” a £500 jackpot. with no payouts to balance that as you get in slots
If you feel you have to gamble, stick to the slots, that £1200 will last far longer and at least you have a reasonable chance of hitting a big win (and I don’t mean the £12 developer BIG WIN_)
2nd May 2019 at 8:09 am #64117They have definitely done something to the Fobt put £60 in rhino biggest win £2.80 and NO bonus ,one good thing I won’t be going in again. I heard someone say ( before April) ,oh yes they’ve done this one ,as in amended the stake ready for new rules, I would say the gov have said they don’t want people to win as much so thy don’t get addicted ,thy can’t be random
2nd May 2019 at 10:19 am #64127Be careful with FOBT slots to check the loading / info screen – some games which used to be random have been reimplemented for April and recategorised as compensated rather than random, particularly the new “fortune spin” modes where you stake £2 for the chance to win what used to be like a £20 spin.
2nd May 2019 at 11:27 am #64142Yeah thanks for input guys it was more of a warning for others .
Reason I went in balls deep is I had won on centurion 3 days running £200 , £300 and £450 so that’s why I got carried away because I was playing with winnings I just got a bit carried away thinking it’s gonna got a big number soon .
I was thinking of when I played £20-£50 spins if I have done that on the same machine I would have at least had a few hits even if it was money back . But it went like £60-£70 before hitting the green bar and even then it missed .biggest was £100 before a spin.
TBH I would prefer £50 spins at least I got to see the wheel spin .
This lesson has let me know that they are still monster machines and full of shit .
and yeah reminds me of Bonanza , who wants to be a millionaire and captain bob and finally knights life bloody hard to bonus
2nd May 2019 at 11:55 am #64145I have a serious question i have played a few FOBT’s and have lost won etc but i don’t go looking for then etc. My question is do you think these changes made to the stake will stop you or other people gambling on them like you used to meaning that the change worked ? hope that made sense lol

It has worked. I went inon my payday before this one as I always used to and they had converted to £2 roulette, where I used to do £50 spins and lose stacks.
tried a couple of spins on £2 roulette. Got bored and played the 20p slots for an hour or so. Haven’t been back since 🙂
2nd May 2019 at 12:40 pm #64161o nice well it is good to see. If it is working then thats a good thing at least 🙂
2nd May 2019 at 1:23 pm #64164Can see why they have done it but personally not a fan used to like having a £20 spin on the occasion Saturday after sticking a coupon on

Hi seedy ,
yeah my initial thought was yes it would stop me playing in general .
The fortune spins on centurion are quite interesting and have a 1 in 10 chance of spinning so that’s where I got my big wins from as I got power spins and rolling reel bonuses and it x2 . However the roulette just sucks you in as the mentality is it can’t go so fucking long without a win .
Ive learnt a lesson the hard way and will be staying well away and sticking to football bets from now on
3rd May 2019 at 9:46 am #64344Personally i dont think the changes made to fobts will make a blind bit of difference to the bookies .
Maybe the roulette will take a hit in the short term but before u know it people will forget all the changes and it it will just become the norm
As argyle pointed out .the slots that have been affected are really no different from before . If u previously played £10 20 30 or 50 fortune spins the only difference now is it may only cost u a fraction of whichever stake u played at to get some spins if u r lucky or a bit more if your not .and the £2 spin players can stick to the ones that are not compensated .
Gamblers will always be gamblers.

I think it’s already impacting. Previously you could spin up to £300 a minute on roulette, and there was always a queue waiting to use the machines.
I went in once after the change, most of the machines were free and the money I would normally have lost in 2 x £50 spins lasted me hours.
Guy behind the counter said they were already seeing the reduction in takings, even on day one
