Hey Bandit, love your channel and site and I think it’s great you advertise safe gambling tools like Gamban. I just think it’s important here for people to know that gambandidn’t work for me on an Android device. When you are using it there is a notification that locks to your notification panel and if you click it gives you the option to close it, it then completely stops blocking you. Also if you restart your device it does not block you. I emailed them and they said they are aware of the issue with Android devices and are unable to fix it. I tried to take a month break from Gambling and could gamble on my phone any time I wanted. I just think this is important to point out as if someone is genuinely looking to stop gambling there are other more effective tools that work. I’m happy to send on a copy of their correspondence if you wish.

Unfortunately what you have said there most of us know to be true. For anyone seeking advice on the forum I have always suggested gamstop. Neither option is perfect and both have flaws which I won’t mention. If an individual wants to stop there are measures and sites which will hel such as gamban and gamstop but if a person still chooses to gamble they will find a way. There has to be some form of will power from the player for these organisations to work.

I have edited your post mate, couple of reasons.

 

Gamban didn’t work for you, personally, as you found a couple of ways around it. Quite a few people with Android devices won’t have looked for ways to stop it i don’t think. It is like anything i guess, you have to want to stop too.

I’m not sure i entirely agree with a post to say how you can circumvent the software, much the same way as i dislike the posts that highlight which casinos aren’t members of Gamstop, that is just a personal opinion so don’t feel i am having a go in any way, it’s just what i think.

 

Yes it is important to point out the faults with a software but i don’t think you could say “Gamban doesn’t work for 100% of users that try it on Android”, that is my point there really.

The restart issue was fixed for my S8 android phone with their recent update.

If the phone resets gamban loads up, logged in within about 30 seconds. Strange that you still have that issue.

Sorry that it hasn’t worked for you but for myself and many others it’s been amazing. (Many thanks to Bandit for the discount code.)

I always found Gamban to just be there for a deterrent.  For that time when you feel like you want to gamble and then think “Oh yeh I got that installed”.

The software cannot solve all your problems alone.  If you spend your time trying to work around it, then you were not serious about giving it a rest in the first place.

Please stop putting the cheats to Gamban etc on here please… We have players who didn’t know this shit and are probably wracking their heads atm.

Gamban didn’t work for you because your head didn’t want it to, plain and simple… Every app needs self control and every phone needs the user to have access to everything. So ofcourse anything you put on a phone is easily avoidable because its your fucking phone.

 

This stuff tilts me more than the begging, because I feel like the poster wants people to fail like they did…..

Listen guys, if anyone is having problems because of this stupid post imo… Please be aware that a child lock will work the same and your partner or a loved one can put in a password to help you stop playing…. Alough it won’t allow any adult content, it’s worth it for a short time until you find something else reliable ????
