Quick question (and yes I understand it’s my own fault)
so so I downloaded Gamban a couple of month back and it was doing the trick (didn’t have a huge problem but felt I was losing a little control so I thought I’d try and stay away for a while)
anyways I was watching a jimbocasino video and it got me itching to play slots, so I signed up through his link (for some reason it worked on my phone even tho I had Gamban installed with the VPN)
anyways after a herrendous session I’ve done my bollocks in at about 1.7k (I know, idiot right)… dw I can still afford my bills I just basically spent some of my savings.
my question is shouldn’t Gamban I’d prevented this?? After all I have paid for that service to stop me doing this shit???
11th March 2019 at 11:26 am #54276Hi mate gamban is and always has been like a nicorete patch you got to want it to stop you before it will actually work.
In your case though it sounds like you didn’t lose complete control previously and want some flexibility so that you could disable it if you did want say a cheeky footy bet etc.
In regards to this casino you joined each site properly needs to be added to gambans app or von for it to be blocked so with new casinos popping up this may have been how it snuck through * hypothetical maybe incorrect btw I don’t work for gamban so don’t have hard facts sry ?
If you are looking for a more solid solution maybe registering gamstop would be better suited and as far as I’m aware is much harder to manipulate as long as you answer all the fields on application honestly.
I hope this helps mate ??

Gamban seems a bit flakey tbh, one problem I found is the VPN was stopping other apps working properly such as northern rail, sky sports etc.
will take a look at Gamstop… ultimately tho it’s about controlling yourself better… a few week with nothing at all always clears my head from how a lack of control affects you… if you know what I mean
11th March 2019 at 11:51 am #54284Both gamban and gamstop both have flaws. Neither are perfect and there has to be a certain amount of will power from the player. I’m currently on gamstop until May. My preference was to use gamstop but i would not be adverse to using gamban. Both provide an excellent service but I’m sorry there was a glitch which allowed you to play.
11th March 2019 at 1:01 pm #54300If I was going to stop I would definitely use Gamstop over Gamban. Gamban only really works if you really want to quit, as soon as you get the itch you can remove the program as far as I’m aware and with my addictive personality I know for a fact that if I really had a strong urge to play it would be gone from my phone/laptop faster than Jack Rodwell when he got signed by City.

Big up to this guy – it’s so nice to see someone taking responsibility for their actions instead of blaming the casino, the software providers or anyone else.
Been there, done that many years ago, there is nothing like walking to work every day in the rain and eating beans because you have stupidly done your bollocks in on the machines and can’t afford to put petrol in your car, to clear your mind.
11th March 2019 at 6:36 pm #54344Is what it is, that’s how I see it.
Never really looked into the ins and outs of Gamban or gamstop.
Think I ended up about 1.7 loss in the end, not really many opportunities to claw any back either, was just brutal but r happens.
wish I could get nicks luck when I raise up tho and bag a bonus within 10 spins lol the lucky devil
looking forward to a few weeks off tbh, clear my head and feel fresh again… amazing how bitter it can make your life when it’s constantly on your mind.
