Hi all, hope you are well.
I posted my story a few months ago on here, basically in a nutshell, I gave up gambling as a New Years resolution after years and years of pretty intense gambling, and had been doing great. I am on Gamstop so the lockdown has actually assisted me (or so I thought) due to casinos, bookies etc being shut and no sports to tempt me to go out out and place bets.
Unfortunately last night for some reason, I went searching for one of these daft foreign online casinos that allow people on Gamstop to join, and managed to find one. Obviously I won’t mention the name, but why anyone would ever play on one of these casinos is beyond me. They are absolute nonsense, the games aren’t your usual providers and making a withdrawal is always almost impossible. Avoid avoid avoid.
I spent a fair amount of money but luckily something kicked in last night and I closed the window and went to bed. I woke up feeling absolutely awful this morning that all my hard work has been partially ruined and looked for a way to resolve this issue, and this is the point of my post.
I contacted my bank and asked if they could help on the live chat and was informed that you can actually block all gambling transactions on your card. So I went onto the online banking app, followed the instructions and now, I won’t be able to gamble in the slightest online, Gamstop or no Gamstop, legit casino or dodgy one. Feels like a weight has been lifted from my mind after going through with this process. I’m Bank Of Scotland but I’m sure all major banks will offer this service, so I would recommend this step to anyone that has their own issues ??
All the best
19th May 2020 at 1:54 pm #98568Hi I did exactly the same last night, then found out that the site even uses fake slots and decommissioned games, For 1 why aren’t the makers of these games I.e netent ect doing anything about it, and apparently they can change rtp, turn up or down bonuses etc, I did think the game played a bit different while I was playing but because haven’t played nearly 2yrs thought was OK, should of reviewed it first, actually shouldn’t off joined at all but that’s life, anyway becarefully of them non-gamstop sites, no rules means no chance.

If you did perhaps you understand “why “ more than you think you do … every itch needs a scratch and these fuckers have fingers in every pie to facilitate that..Evil parasites
it’s always good to spread the word about banks and gambling, I’m with a couple of banks and They all have the ability to lock gambling transactions… it’s a good message to spread around as it tend to be more thorough Than gamstop and such…
block gambling transactions ( 2 min job online )
19th May 2020 at 9:56 pm #98611I just dont understand. With all due respect to topicstarter, the amount of addicts that are grown online vs landbased are just worrying.
