What a twist! It’s crazy how we all thought it was going to be Jon Snow who would defeat The Night King but when Bran jumped out of his wheel chair and challenged him to a dance off and starting doing the robot followed by the Macarana I was blown away.
What was your thoughts on the episode?
30th April 2019 at 1:04 pm #63520You need to lay off yhe mushrooms sir…
I was actually disappointed the night king was defeated so easily could of atleast performed the worm or something. Also some characters were overrun on several occasions yet they are ok… burn them all ?
30th April 2019 at 1:15 pm #63525We all have a purpose in life. I always thought mine was to hit that 1000x Bonanza bonus I got last year, but now I understand it was really to watch last night’s Game of Thrones. Every series I ever see in future will have an automatic -1 just by comparison. Christ, I thought Breaking Bad was good.
30th April 2019 at 11:43 pm #63673Its set up so beautifully. The episode has hints to it for years that you either did pick up on, or not. Red woman saying “green eys, blue eyes”, Arya learning from Sirio and faceless to be silent and be warm in the cold, blinding her so she can see and feel the enemy, its all there.
As for deaths – they cant kill everyone yet. They need to set up the last 3 episodes, its a great twist from them to run this faster than we thought and then set up a bigger ending than we imagined back in Kings LAnding.
Question now is – Will Jamie kill Cersei as the prophecy says, or will Tyrion go for the family trifecta, or will she jump fromt he tower like her son, or will she win and fuck everyone over.
There were bets on sites as to who is going to have the throne…. from watching the last 3 episodes neither Jon nor Dani have the actual skills to do it. Dani is wild and a bit… angry, Jon is too heartful and stupid.
Tyrion and Sansa getting married and ruling while Jon and Dani go and farm dragons in Essos makes sense.

Being serious then I’ll say I thought the episode was really well done although I feel a bit let down that The Night King is killed off rather fast, the battle and The Night King that have been getting built up for such a long time now and I thought it would take like 3 episodes or so to wrap up, it felt a bit rushed and perhaps there should have been s8 for the battle with the white walkers and s9 to wrap up the game of thrones being played. I thought the way it was done was terrific however as it was quite shocking but as you said Arya’s entire story since she left winterfell has been training to be an assassin. My only other gripe is the episode was a bit dark, felt like it could have used a bit more lighting, I get that they wanted to set the scene and atmosphere but for parts of the battle I could barely see anything.
While you mentioned which sibling is going to kill Cercei… Well if you remember The Red Witches prophecy about Arya closing brown, blue and green eyes forever… Well The Night King was obviously the blue eyes…. But who has green eyes who is left? Only Cercei as far as I recall. I think Arya will end up killing her as well.
Also Danis character has been showing similarities to her father and brother as well as saying things her brother said so I’m not so sure she will end up with Jon, quite the opposite I feel!
1st May 2019 at 1:51 am #63691The red woman melisandre is like a fucking broken zippo.
Give it 30 minutes of clicking and praying and it makes fire.
1st May 2019 at 3:49 am #63692Although I did enjoy the episode, it wasn’t satisfying. Don’t necessarily know what they could have done differently, I just know that it was lacking something.

1st May 2019 at 10:18 am #63712Bio put it perfect. Something was missing. Just can’t put my finger on what it was.
1st May 2019 at 10:30 am #63716Yeah, in my opinion, what was missing was the loss of a main character. I know there were a few semi-main characters lost, but nobody that really bothered me.
1st May 2019 at 4:15 pm #64041It was awesome. But they are right there was a feeling of “wow, that was epic, but could have been more epic somehow”
Also – Congrats @Rbreen! First post you havent sworn in for a week! 😀
11st May 2019 at 4:27 pm #64048The episode was so dark though – visually so. I could barely tell what was going on most the time. Apart from that I loved it.
1st May 2019 at 4:29 pm #64049Whole battle formation made no sense. Cavalry up front, behind them trebuchets/catapults and behind them infantry. Night king gets poked to death and dies most anti-climactic death ever. If Cersei is going to be ”final boss” they just ruined the series. I sure hope Night King is going to make some sort of come back and give us closer or Bran finally opens up and speaks about things of the past/future.

It’s almost like he’s missing a catalyst of some sort ???
There’s been a lot of theories that the white walkers aren’t truly gone but I just don’t see there being enough screen time to do anything else with them as far as I’m concerned they wrapped The Night King up in that episode and now the final 3 episodes will be preparing for war with cercei, episode after that will be the actual war between the North and South and then the final episode will wrap everything up.
I still think they should have given it another season because although this season has been brilliant so far I can’t help but feel it’s been a little rushed in trying to tie up all the lose ends in 6 episodes.
