This is a tricky one, last year I signed up to Gamban after loosing £2k really pissed me off so went for it, and true to word it stopped me accessing all my gambling sites and self excluded me, APART from videslots. Now I know they are associated with gamban and it should be banned but it isn’t.. a year later I can still deposit and withdraw
as a gambler I’m actually pleased with this obviously haha, i can only play at one site, videoslots and I have a £200 a week deposit limit set. So it’s all under control.
heres the point of the post, do you think in any legal way I can fuck over videoslots and seek some legal cause to get my deposits refunded over the past year, or just leave it. I’m pretty sure this isn’t right or aloud by the gambling association?
Thoughts?
11th January 2019 at 10:15 am #36540See the thing is, it is this kind of thing that is sending the casinos in to melt down about a lot of things and the reason why there is so much verification and so much “ah but you are banned you can’t have these winnings” etc You said yourself that you are happy this is the case, why would you then want to do them over afterwards, it’s because you would like to have your cake and eat it isn’t it, you want to play but if you lose you want there to be some way of getting the money back and it’s not really how it works. I would imagine that it is nothing to do with videoslots why Gamban doesn’t block the site in your particular case so i would say no, there is no legal route you could take to get the money you happily put in there back because you lost it, please don’t read the message in the wrong way or take the knock, i’m trying to answer honestly and i’ve got to say that when someone deposits with the knowledge that if they lose, they are going to try and get that deposit back in some way shape or form related to some kind of exclusion they feel should have been in place are ultimately hurting the industry, like it must happen so much that when there is a chance for the casino to stiff you for a balance because you did three spins at £5.20 when the max was £5 that they will do, if this kind of thing wasn’t a problem for them, perhaps that would get paid out.

11th January 2019 at 1:01 pm #36613there is a difference between gamban and gamstop. gamstop might have a case. gamban no chance
11th January 2019 at 5:58 pm #36740This is like trying to get away with a Police Charge because a comma or fullstop was missing from the Charge Sheet. You signed up to Gamstop, Why ? You admitted to yourself there was a problem somewhere. Why the Fuck are you still lurking around Slots/Gambling Forums ?
Perhaps try again Man but I understand too……….
12th January 2019 at 4:15 am #36908I’ve read your comments and I think I’ve come across wrong, I was simply putting the feelers out as to what I could or couldn’t do, like I said I’m a £200 a week guy with limits and in August I withdrew £14k from a big win and I know full well, if i was banned I wouldn’t of received the money or even had the opportunity. It’s just a niggle that I’ve gone to these lengths to try and totally ban what’s going on and it hasn’t happened, are you not as surprised as me? Specially a site as big as videoslots you think it would work, people have serious issues with this, I’ve known someone that’s done the unthinkable through gambling, it should be a sure thing. Just asking your opinions.
12th January 2019 at 8:53 am #36922Look at it from a different point of view – how would you feel if your provider asked for the 14k back because you shouldn’t have been gambling as you have registered to gamban?
I don’t think you would win any attempt to get refunds back mate. Just best to self exclude to stop you from gambling.
