hi guys I am new here although I have followed bandit on YouTube since he started uploading! just wanted some heads up on what happens after gamstop ends. mine expires in 4 weeks after a 1 year exclusion and I will ending the ban. I joined gamstop last July after a crazy gambling frenzy ! I was around 5k down on the year and in June I won 6K so all my money back, couple weeks later the 6k went back so back to square 1. I had a 2 week holiday in turkey and thought about things.. so when I got back I decided to go for it again so I took 1k from savings account and turned it into 13k ! SO all my money back plus 7k profit so after that long 3 day gambling binge I impulsively registered with gamstop to protect my money and mainly take a clean break from gambling and reset myself. I’ve played online slots for quite a few years now but never thought I had a problem as I would only play with money I could afford to lose . but last year just went a bit mental! so I’ve enjoyed the break and enjoyed the money and feel ready now to start again but in lower steaks and fewer sessions. I used gamstop as a tool not as a problem gambler long time solution , but in the last year I’ve heard people have had problems reopening their accounts etc? also has anyone had any problems signing up to new casino accounts? any experiences would be helpful , thanks guys .

Be very careful ?
27th June 2020 at 6:49 pm #101003Cheers mate I’ll be careful , I’m pretty much accepting that my old accounts won’t be open but I will be looking at opening new accounts . Am I likely to have problems opening new one ? Cheers

If you have an account before Gamstop they won’t let you open a new account, you have to go though their hoops and see if they let you have your account back. Betfair, paddy, betvictor, kwiff all said no. Videoslots was the easiest Gamstop was removed and the account worked about 6 hours later. Sky bet as well. Grosvenor account took lots of emails backwards and forwards.
Energy wanted documents again and I couldn’t be bothered ?? I only wanted somewhere for Donuts and they don’t have it anyway ?
129th June 2020 at 1:38 am #101034Reading above, that’s awful, i have self excluded for 6mths, if i had known that there would be problems once mine comes to an end i would never have done it. It doesn’t state this anywhere or warns you that this may happen. I will just have to fight that battle when it comes to it, or maybe i wont even want to go back to it, who knows.
29th June 2020 at 7:21 am #101060To be honest @seedy it might be worth either hiding my last post or deleting a chunk of it, I wouldn’t want it to dissuade someone from joining Gamstop because it’s an excellent tool most of the time if someone is feeling like slots are causing an issue…
29th June 2020 at 8:33 am #101063What I meant by ‘new accounts ‘ is joining new casinos that I haven’t joined before , will this be a problem ? I wouldn’t of joined gamstop if I knew about these problems . I’m just guessing my old accounts won’t be reopened so I’ll be looking at jointing new casino sites so hopefully will be less hassle than trying to get my old accounts back . I used to use bet365 , unibet , novibet and genting online
29th June 2020 at 8:37 am #101064I also self excluded from energy around 2 years ago so was thinking when gamstop ends just calling them up and reactivating my account , they won’t know I was ever on gamstop so that could be an easy option
29th June 2020 at 8:39 am #101065Yeah it’s bad ain’t it , I would never of done it either worst mistake i ever made ! I done 12 months , I have 4 weeks left of my sentence but not looking forward to the hassle of opening my old accounts , I’ll prob just ditch them and open fresh accounts somewhere else

Do be very careful. I may have imagined this but believe I have read instances where people have been refused payouts due to issues with a partnered casino e.g. self excluding at one and winning big at a partnered casino only to have the win denied. I think it would be better to be honest and open if you can. Sure some may refuse you access, but as xbob says some won’t. You don’t want to give the suckers any excuse not to pay as they make a living by finding those loopholes.
29th June 2020 at 11:09 am #101067Yeah I always check sister sites etc as I’m excluded from a few casinos . Energy has no sister sites so should be fine
