Not too sure pal, you would be best to ask their live chat or even email them. I understand that there was a “cut off” date where it was compulsory for all casinos operating under UKGC to be signed up to the register.

I have been playing on just one casino i thought was not uk licensed as i have self excluded from the uk ones to reduce my spending. They verified my details at the end of January which including all my email etc which matched the one registered with Gamstop and then today blocked my account saying that they had joined gamstop today.

In around Feb 2015 they were given roughly two years to be part of an exclusion scheme. I’m not sure if which or all they had to join and the report I just read only seems to say “by 2017”.

I think it’s really strange that they asked me to verify my account again and clear all my details and then allowed me to continue depositing without any issues. If they have breached the rules am i entitled to claim back any losses that have occurred between verification and the current date?.

At this risk of being ironic, would you be contacting them to offer them back any money you had won if you had been successful.

This is why live chat is so offhand with people who contact them.   I have frequently seen posts which state that the system glitched before I could put my bet on so can I have my money as my number came in.  I have never seen anyone complain that the system glitched but their number didn’t come in so would the casino please take some money out of my account.

You knew you had a gambling problem that’s why you signed up to Gamstop, you still went ahead with a casino who would let you and now its their fault for letting you so you want your money back?

Personal responsibility is something which too often doesn’t seem apply, we are all responsible for our own actions and the line that the nasty casino’s let me gamble when I didn’t want is getting very old

If there is even a remote chance of getting your deposits back I’d say go for it. You have nothing to lose. Who cares where you were irresponsible or if you had won. Fact is that’s in the past. If they are in the wrong as blacko has said he enquired successfully so it’s worth pursuing.

Have to disagree here, and this is indicative of why you should rarely trust a gambler.  i have seen endless stories on here of individuals who took out Payday Loans to gamble, lost and then blamed the nasty people for lending them money they cant afford.   Then we have the gamblers who have lost and complain that they shouldn’t have been allowed to gamble so they want their money back.   I come from an earlier era where if you borrow money you pay it back, and if you gamble and lose then you accept that fact with equinamity.    I personally hope he is unsuccessful, and that’s not aimed at him personally, merely based on my view that he knew what he was doing when he deposited.  Its a gambling site, not a daddy day care centre where someone is required to watch over you to make sure you don’t do something you shouldn’t.

What? Are you saying that Payday Loan companies are not scum of the earth and they should not all die in a greese fire? Because (I have never had a payday loan personally) I believe these unscrupulous lenders should all be held accountable and receive jail time. But hey you keep sticking up for the 0.1% in this world buddy.

As for players trying ways to get there money back, that’s the price of business baby…. ? And everyone should go for it, after all these multinationals have been screwing us over for Tax money for years…. All legal ofc, so always try legal ways to get your money back, its business… If they don’t like it, then the business should have a different model ?
