[Retroloser WANTED $21 Outlaw]

So my day went shit as hell its near half 2 in the morning, I should be heading to work at 6 am, some chance have to wait for my phone to charge for my alarm sitting here drinking something cold fecking needed it ,So my sons been sick (3 years) for a week not drinking anything ,bring him back to doctor he says this child need to be sent up to the hospital needs a drip ,was thinking the same to be honest but was trying our best to keep him out there cause you know you probley end up worse than you went in + you know its torture,

ok so we head up checked in maybe 20 mins gets to the nurse 6.30pm does all she needs to do , you know blood pee temp test , ok so she say go back to the waiting area ok,right 2 hours pass no sign of been call in ,i head out for a smoke come back still no sign , head in to rep desk she says 1 child infront of us ok,Fecking hell why is it so hot in this place ,i looked like a junkie sweating trying to keep my son calm and entertained ,  the room is small its was like end of the world shit right here child after child comes in , nurse come out only 1 parent aloud in , so thats me kicked out , feck it phone dead ,have to wait in the a + e for adults plug beside the front door ok charge the phone sit on ground , get txt from girlfriend doctor just about to see my son happy days its only midnight might get home ,So here it is doctor says hes fine no drip no drugs nothing if they see him drink he can go home ok ,i head in to them with some juice no daddy dont want it ,ya knew this was comeing so tell doctor he needs drip as our doctor only fecking sent us here for it 1.30 am doctor checks him ,pretty much says he need sleep ya wont get anymore drink into him tonight your free to go ,are you takeing the piss 1.30 am your sending us home fuck me ,so im just in the door dont know why im even putting this up ,sopose dont use facebook or anyother forums just wanted a rant

Hospitals take the utter piss these days hope your little one gets better soon mate as for his drinking my little one was rushed in back last summer was chucking up everything and anything he eat or drank they was goibg to drip him but read on the net that all thwy need is 10mls every 4 hours so dine that for 2 days but he perked up afyer a few hours as thats all they need to keep hydrated and its just enough to not be sick

Another thing i forgot top him up with a real sweet water only by 10mls as much as you can keeps his sugar levels all good aswell do it by 10mls as much as you can keeps them off a drip with my boy i gave him 10mls every  2 hrs and he wasnt sick once

thanks man im sure he be grand in a few days hopefully ,they take the piss big time  , the 10 mils thing the doctor gave us a 10 ml syringe to give him some fuild every 5 mins ,really he say every 5 mins what the hell ill do it but really set the stop watch for 5 mins and go go go ,get this into you what the hell i was thinking,i  will try it dono about the 5 mins to be honest ,cheers man for the reply

Was every 10 mins with my boy i done that for 12 hrs but he was on bottles then and wouldnt take syringes due to his autism but i found after that every hour or two because hed take 45 mins to drink the first 10mls as they got to sip it slow or there sick so every 1 to 2 hrs he will be fine mate keep us informed mate

i will see how we get on 2mo, he doesnt like syringes more than once ,i mean will take capol 1 but thats it ,he see”s me comeing every 5 mins with one he will lose his shit but ill try  maybe every 1/2 hour to start and play ball with him play with his toys pj mask”s and that hopefully it works , nothing i hate more than than seeing our kids sick you know ,going to head alseep need to phone in at 6am thanks for advice i will use it thanks man

Another example of why the NHS should be privatised. Most Doctors don’t give a crap any more, they got their funding for you and will try their damn best not to give certain treatments to save as much as they can. These days you literally need to be arrogant and fight for acceptable care because if not, you are just going to be fobbed off more often than not.

If it was private and operated through insurance policies, they would need to improve care and their service as they would strive to be your primary health care provider to stop you spending money elsewhere.

I hope your son feels better soon, I am sure he willl be well soon. All the best at work too, sounds like its gonna be a tiring one!

I still have a cyst on my face, because having have an appointment for 12pm (means nothing) getting there for 11am, do checks waiting watching people go in and out. 4pm rolls on i have had enough go to the desk oh the surgeon who should be doing it is not here, so you will have to bee seen by another not so good surgeon. I just walked out, as for privatising the NHS it will go the way of everything else (Higher prices for us shoddier services and worser care) who pays for it while the fat cats get rich? That’s right the people at bottom who already get shafted.

Hope the baby and the family are okay.

The prices won’t be much higher. Insurance would be regulated so its more affordable and of course low income members of society would have subsidised or free insurance policies in order to get cheaper or free healthcare.

If the money is not given to the health provider directly then they are more inclined to offer a better service.

Some of the best healthcare systems in the world run on private models.

Everyone has their own view of course, but my and many others experience with the NHS has been bad so I won’t glorify it like the nation does.

You do realise the NHS was born a business ? yes, access for all. So what you are really saying is juggle it around a bit different and a mix happens for who gets richer. I studied systemics for 3 decades of my own accord and I realise the fatal flaw.

It’s horrible when you know what’s right for your kids but they won’t listen isn’t it ?. My daughter came home from nursery yesterday with chicken pox ?, they said even though they knew it was chicken pox I have to take her to be diagnosed so she can be off nursery for a week. Why friggin send me up there when you know it’s chicken pox?! Frustrates the shit out of me.

Have you tried different kinds of drinks with your child? I tend to only let mine drink water or them innocent smoothies, but when she won’t drink I try her with squash or pure apple or orange juice. Might be worth a shot.

You can’t be against one and not champion the other.

Regardless of the way it is operated the main important thing is patient care which drastically needs improving so if it involved juggling it around then I think thats the best option. If it was private, money won’t be wasted as it is constantly now, people won’t get treatments they don’t actually need (saving money) and the care will improve because the provider is not getting their funds up front as they do now so currently, in their eyes, they have got their money so they care less about you or your care.

Obviously a lot of good things do happen in the NHS, and some trusts perform better than others in terms of patient care but it has constantly decreased in recent years.

Sorry, but you are making gross generalisations there. Yes,the NHS does not work perfectly all the time in every hospital and there is the odd Doctor and Nurse that “dont give a crap” and at mistakes are made. However, most of the time the vast majority of the NHS staff do a fantastic job! Wonderful with my mum on her regular visits (she brings them a box of chocolates cuz they’re so lovely) and with me  when i broke my arm. Just watch any episode of 24 hours in A and E and see what a great job they’re doing for us day in day out.

So made  it to work just a hour late not bad since I went to sleep at 4ish ,so lunch come get a call from herself ,still not drinking she tryed everything ,she rang back the doctor he has sent her back up just has to wait for our doctor to send fax to then , ok like a flash ran to my supervisor said I’m to go home to my children at 2pm out the door ,like hell was I staying there when my kids need me ,money is not everything ,so I got home no babysitter for my other wee on ,so now I’m home with my other child, bolloxed so will try and get some sleep In case he is keeped in for a few days so we can swap jobs ,also going to text work when I find out more to see if I can get a few days of .

PS I live in ireland so not nhs but to be honest I know it’s tourture in the a and e but I have nothing but prase for anybody that works up there.even if  sometimes it seems like they have not got a clue at what there at, kinda bad remake the last one but just my opinion from the last  24hrs .
