3rd August 2023 at 1:08 pm #129738Great thread, Phil.
My question is why do online casinos ban me from bonuses/promotions when I make a few withdrawals? Surely it’s better for them if I use bonuses and promotions, due to the steep wagering that’s often attached to them?
Hey. This happens as casinos (wrongly) attach bonus abuse to winning players. In the casinos we sell we see them asking to turn games off if players are winning thinking they are broken (not possible). The casino owners are generally not players, they are business minded and see it as risk. Its rediculous mostly but they are allowed to so they take advantage of it. A casino doesnt make as much as you think so they are always trying to focus on the bottom line.
3rd August 2023 at 1:09 pm #129739Hey Phil,
The ‘Super Stake’ button that apparently ‘increases your chances of landing the bonus’ buy increasing your stake by a few %, do they actually work, or just another way of getting more out of us!
I am very sceptical on these!
Thank you,
Hey. Yes they work but its a bit of a “visual scam”. You get the same RTP as betting a higher standard amount. You just get a higher bonus RTP vs a higher base game RTP. Its a clever idea to increase peoples bet sizes but not one i agree with for RG reasons.
So yes it works but it depends on how you like to play.

Fun!
The evo one is a common argument over here in many circles. The widespread belief is that Evo has to run the games at specific RTP. The only way to do that is to control the outcome of the “top slot” in it. The wheel itsself is random on the spin, the dealers are looking at a camera, this is checked at random and other angles that regulators and game checkers have can see this. Its impossible to spin something that large and have it land “next to” a big win.
But the top slots and multis are always done after the spin starts. Its fully possible that the spin is tracked using software to see where it will land and give out a certain win size. This i fully believe. They are fun games but they are not “fully random”.
For question 2 i dont quite get what you mean?
3rd August 2023 at 1:14 pm #129745Hi Phil would you know what’s the difference between cat B and cat C on fruit machines, when they say this machine is random thank you for any info
Hey.
So cat B and cat C are varients based on regulations, the games themselves are built elsewhere. Cat B has to have a certain RTP if its in a casino vs a FOBT or otherwise. And the max wins and payouts are capped and adjusted for the location (i.e local casinos have cat B2 for a 5k max win but Aspers in Stratford has Cat B1 where it can payout up to 20k).
Catergory C is local pubs and clubs which have a 100 max win and can have lower RTP as the cost of htem is hgiher in a pub than in a running casino where they have technicians available.
13rd August 2023 at 10:13 pm #129769Reference machines type B and C, these are down to the 2005 Gambling Act and the machines are given A, B, C and D.
A – these machines never existed in the end. They were unlimited stakes and jackpots and were meant for the so-called Super Casinos during the last Labour government but it got cancelled.
B1 – these machines are video slots and found in casinos with jackpots of at least £4000.
B2 – these were the bookies terminals that had video roulette and other table games, making this the only machine not to be fruit machine-based only. These got banned by our government in 2019.
B3 – these are the £500 jackpot machines found in arcades. These are video slots rather than traditional fruits. Famous titles include Rainbow Riches and Reel King and have been around for nearly 20 years! Before B3, these titles existed as Section 16 machines. Other examples are Rocky, Elvis 500 and Monty’s Millions, all going back 15-20 years.
B4 – these are club machines. They have 4 reels and are found found in membership clubs e.g. snooker clubs and the local hockey club. Jackpot is currently £200 or £400 if memory serves.
C – regular pub fruit machines with 3 reels. Jackpots have varied over the years such as £10, £15, £25, £35, £70 and is now £100. These pub machines seemed to have all but disappeared now and got replaced by video slots, but are still under ‘C’.
D – £5 and £8 jackpot adaptations of type C fruit machines found in arcades, fairgrounds and holiday camps.

4th August 2023 at 2:10 am #129782Hi Phil, I have a general question about how online slots implement their RTP..
I Know it’s over tens of thousands of spins but some games I have done tens of thousands of spins and my personal RTP is below 20% eg bison megaways 22000 spins approx, ONE BONUS!! when I can buy it for 100x. So how is this possible?4th August 2023 at 9:50 am #129787Alright Phil mate.
Does it make any difference to the game when you refresh the page or it crashes? Like if I’m playing bonanza for hours and it crashes I feel like it’s making me start again when I reopen lol.. I’ve heard the bandit say similar when he opens a game and it plays his last bonus so he refreshes it because it pisses him off lol.. i guess the question is does the game see your session as a whole session or is spin individual? I dunno if that makes sense, in my head it does lol
4th August 2023 at 3:16 pm #129749Hey Phil,
my question is more about how you play. So with your knowledge and more logical thinking than most of people- if you have bonuses like for example Extra Chilli where you can risk entire bonus for few more spins; or have like five different types of bonus games in one slot and you can risk to get better one or random amount of money- how do you play? Do you prefer to risk it or take basic ones, or maybe it just depends how you feel in specific moment?
4th August 2023 at 3:17 pm #129789Hi Phil.

I’d suggest a better VPN. ExpressVPn surfshRk or nord. And I’d use Norway for it.

Some games are very very top heavy. Imagine a game with 50000x max win. But it either pays small or max win. You’re gonna take Lmost 1mil spins to get it.
RTP is based on average over 2-20 BILLION spins. They run a computer sim on testing to prove this. 20000 spins just isn’t enough time to unlock the true avg rtp sadly.

Hey. Not at all. Each spin is triggered at random by the casino sending a request to the provider for a game round result. Doesn’t matter when, how, previous wins or anything. Its a common belief it matters but it doesn’t. At all.
