27th May 2019 at 10:58 pm #67412They used to do the same thing with lucky punters in the Casino’s, they still do. Discourage them by provoking them or being unreasonable. Keep smiling Bandit, you’re a winner.
30th May 2019 at 4:15 pm #67581Stupid idea but it stops fraud. in the unlikely scanrio, that the person being asked has either) stolen the id and used a stolen a credit card to register then your not very likely to want to send in a picture of yourself holding the evidence, or simp,y bought or made the id and used said id to launder money or steal money . how they propose to know the difference when someone has made the id with a fake picture I do not know.
You would think the DVLA or passport people would verify the photos of us to save all the bullshit we have to go through..

It isn’t actually being unreasonable though. the 30 seconds it takes to take the picture could stop you losing thousands of pounds.
unreasonable would be, kindly provide us with a copy of your passport, drivers license, 3 utility bills, a third government issued id, an original copy of your birth certificate, no scans the original that you have to POST. we will give you a week to send that sir, ty. if not you will forfeit the 30000 GBP you won today.
almost word for word the email I received from the virtual group casino some years ago, bear in mind I had told them I had no original birth certificate previous to this only a copy and getting the original would mean traveling to Burnley from barrow . they also knew as I had told them, that I had no photo id and I was in the process of buying it and it takes longer than a week to arrive.
the response back from them “how did you get a visa debit card without photo id” well I gave the bank my money to deposit then they gave me a card, you can’t get a bank account without id they tried to tell me, my response we need something as simple as a utility bill to open a bank account, your lying to me, sir, his response and exit live chat ..

The thing is, this approach to ID verification is completely stupid and flawed and far from professional from a company as large as Casumo. I’ve heard of this selfie thing a lot from casumo, and it happened to me after a few withdrawals, and conveniently i was required to provide ID etc after a £5000 win.
Suffice to say i sent all the documentation, from credit card statements to utility bills. Since i do not drive and never owned a passport. Not everyone does. Because this is what i was asked for, but then after sending all that in they wanted a photo of me with my name on it? So i basically sent all that personal documentation to them for nothing, only for them to want more!
I even said to them how is that proving i am who i say i am, i’m not a resident of your country for a start, not on your governmental registers. Anyone can post a selfie with a so called passport in their hand. A photo of me, could be my next door neighbour or a buddy from the pub. And i zero’d the balance since i couldn’t withdrawal my funds. £5000 gone, which was my only real luck i had on the site for them to do that to me.
After thinking about it, i could apply for a credit card with less BS than they want to release funds. I wouldn’t recommend Casumo to anyone after that. I even spoke to a legal representative about it, and even they said it seemed shady as a utility bill and a credit card alone is enough to verify you are the person on used card since that card is registered to the same place of residence. But i decided not to pursue any legal action because i just couldn’t be bothered dealing with them again.
If a Casumo representative is reading this, do the small thing of paying the small fee to digitally identify a UK player in future. If you can afford advertising on TV you can damn well do that. And thx for shafting me of £5000.

25th June 2019 at 9:10 am #71744Hi Andy if you are about.
Why on Earth have i been requested to send in my passport ID, with it held next to my face? Is this some kind of joke request? The chat bloke was an absolute wanker, a patronising dick head that seemingly thought he ruled the world – i have got to say, there is fucking no way that it is a legal requirement to have to send a “Selfie” as he put it.
I have deposited over £1.4 Million pounds at Casumo and have previously sent them my passport……..
Is this how they are stopping me playing… not banning me as such but just making it all about bullshit?
I’d be interested on your thoughts.
