Hi guys long time lurked first time poster.
Looking to see if anyone else has had this done to them I’ve been with slots millions for ages and deposited 10s of thousands and withdrew about 6k over the space of say 6-7 months.
I go to log into my account and it’s been restricted and they want to know the ins and outs of a ducks arse i.e how severe was my accident in work and how long will it take me to recover?. I sent in all the documents they wanted and spoke on the phone numerous times to the compliance department and then they come back and say yeah we can re-open your account but you are overspending on the site so you have to agree a £100 limit per month on your account.
Fair enough I agree I was going a little it but nothing different than I had done for the previous months.
My question is shouldn’t they have acted quicker or this should be done at the opening of your account not when they have atleast 15k of your money? If they would have asked at the beginning I wouldn’t have lost as much surely they must be breaching some type of gambling commission rule letting someone lose so much before stepping in?
Anyone else had this problem or have a similar story?
26th November 2018 at 12:49 pm #25713It seems that the laws around KYC are changing, and the information that casinos must have about the customer is increasing in scale. I did read a post not long ago on CasinoMeister about this.
Many have started these more stringent checks already. I know the Bandit mentioned about Energy Casino doing this with him. The details that they’re asking you for feel a bit bizarre, but I guess anything that contributes to them confirming that you’re comfortable with what you’re spending is important. There have been plenty of lawsuits recently around casinos not doing enough to know their customer and ensure only responsible gambling is taking place.
I guess they should do these checks from the start, however, given the intensity of the questions being asked, it does make sense for them to ask them once a player deviates from the norm.
I personally do not like these new checks, but I do see why they’re doing them.

Yeah I completly understand that they need to make sure the money is available and not coming from fraud etc.
What gets me is that I never changed the way I bet for example I never went from depositing 100 quid to depositing 1000 pound or my best never changed. It seems they are asking the people who are loosing a lot of money first as obviously they need to make sure they are being compliant.
What gets me angry is that now they have put a £100.00 per month limit on my account I have very little chance of winning my money back I’ve lost. Surely if the ukgc set this then they must have to pursue slots million and say you didn’t do thorough enough checks as this person was at risk etc.

I think it’s more around the law changing in general. Daub Alderney were fined £7.1m just the other day. Rank Group (who own Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo etc.) were fined £500k last month just for one customer alone. I think the casinos are starting to really cover their tracks on this to make sure they aren’t next.
I completely get it bud, I’d be fuming if I was you, as I’m guessing the stakes you play just can’t be covered by £100/month. I’d also want to try and win some of my money back! So it does suck. As I said, I’m not enthusiastic about these changes myself, as a gambler.
26th November 2018 at 8:31 pm #25768It has gone bonkers all this crap. The source of wealth one is by far the worse – 2 of my casinos have closed me down about it so far, they just won’t accept anything.
26th November 2018 at 10:15 pm #25792I haven’t got a clue what they want now they have approved my documents but still blocked my account haven’t a clue what they want now it’s taking the piss this is another one I can’t use after spanking close to 4k over weekend so won’t give me my 5% cashback they have approved everything but still not letting me play

Bio hazard what do you reckon I should do as everything has been approved and nobody knows why they won’t open my account they are saying they have not approved my documents but it shows that they have approved them.
27th November 2018 at 12:21 pm #25875@Robbie410084 – only think I can suggest bud is to contact support and request a reason on why they rejected your documents, and explain that it shows that they approved them. I’m quite stubborn myself so if they are incorrect in what they are saying, I will not let it go until I get a resolution that makes sense.
I’ve not dealt with this casino myself so I can’t say any more than that!
