In a nut shell; I’m down 2,500 at my casino in town. No big hits since I’ve been going there. Play between 200 or 400 during my sessions. 3 dollar bets usually. 6 months going there and I play about once a month. When’s the next hit coming? Possibly never I suppose, but I’m thinking the law of averages (if there is any truth to it) means a hit is coming soon or is my luck just shit? 6 sessions with no hits at all dosen’t make sense to me. Any advice? How long can you really go without a decent win? Is forever a possibility? Hey man that’s gambling right, but the law of averages supposes most future events are likely to balance any past deviation from a presumed average.

The law of averages is pretty concrete mate but you have to base it over a large spectrum.

For example heads or tails on a coin. You could easily hit 6 heads in a row and say it’s not fair as it should be 50/50. But if you based a coin toss over a larger figure e.g. 1000 flips then it would start to average out.

I’m notnsaying go your casino 1000 times, hopefully next session you will smash it!!

You know it makes me think of that awful word in gambling. ” Due ” unfortunately nothing ever is. If your lucks in its in. If it’s not your shit out. I think that’s just the way it is.

Try having a missus who’s at work at 6am. On a Monday I’ll say see you Thursday as I finish about 9pm each day. Mind you it’s probably why were still together lol.

All down to pure luck online. Unlike fruit machines. I remember being a chef at a place watching the punters fill it up, then calculate if it was worth playing by asking the bar staff if they had won.

..then at the end if my shift id pop a few quid in and usually jacked it!

    Those were the days!

We are the same mate but the other way round. I’m out the house at 6 most mornings and not back til late. Mrs works either 6-2 Or 2-10 so gives us time apart. Have most weekends together except for next weekend. Resident evil 2 comes out so she has been told to go out for the weekend

This isn’t necessarily aimed at you but it’s this attitude that gets people into holes!

100% agree mate. Have to keep in control with it. Very easy to end up casing if you think the casino owes you

A valid point friend, but that old saying, don’t gamble more than you can afford to lose.

Depends on when to walk away mate, do you stay until the big win or walk away happy with breaking even?  Makes a big difference over a few trips.

I’d be very happy with breaking even at this point. 2,500 down currently.

I’ve always believed some people are Luckier than others in life in general. Therefore some players will never win big imo.

I think being positive helps, if that makes sense… Have that winning feeling, then if you do your bollocks Atleast you kinda enjoyed the experience ?

My ex boss used to do this only with scratch cards. We have a lad who comes in and buys 30+ cards a day if he hadn’t had a win by the end of her shift she would buy the next few on the reel and quite a few times got £100 winners or at least money back.

I wouldn’t think of it the way you are mate, that’s gamblers fallacy. You might not win big for the next couple of years, it can happen but I hope it doesn’t and wish you luck on your next visit. I’ll agree on some people being luckier than others too…I’ve heard some people on here saying they have been playing slots for over 10 years and have never had a 1000x win, you’d imagine in that time if they are playing consistently then surely they would have had a massive win in that time frame but then they have no reason to lie about something like that. It would be interesting to see a break down of peoples wins over say a couple of hundred thousand spins and see how big the luck divide is in comparison. I’m still impressed that Bandit has been able to turn a profit on slots, perhaps not lifetime but on Reel King to go on such a run on a slot is almost unheard of and I can’t imagine many people make a life changing amount on them unless you hit the jackpot on a progressive which I imagine would be less than 1% of people playing them.
