I literally can’t handle life anymore. I don’t care for the hate I will get for this, just needed to speak to people or someone. I feel so so lost

If your feeling low mate give papyrus a call – they are a really good intervention group who can help.
What are your main issues at the moment if you don’t mind me asking. Money/gambling/relationships or just everything in general
15th January 2019 at 5:39 pm #38762Just so so lost. Money. I no longer gamble, but been in debt for years due to my previous gambling habits. Everything seems to just go wrong, gone into stepchange and it’s my first month and I already can’t pay it therefore I will default. Just been working all day like a zombie, no thoughts what so ever. So lost
15th January 2019 at 5:48 pm #38766Have you tried speaking to them mate? If your on a DMP they should have left you enough to see you through the month etc.
Trust me though it will get better, it just takes time and it’s hard if you feel like your working for nothing but once it’s all paid off you can start again
15th January 2019 at 5:52 pm #38772I’m a working man, and it’s fine paying off what I owe I’ve been doing it last 3/4 years. But now I physically cannot get the money. Yeah I went with stepchange and my monthly payment is affordable just about to me per month after other debts and rent. Sadly I’ve had to use money for something unexpected house wise. I cannot make the first payment to stepchange of £486 and the payday loans who are tied in with the plan have told me if I default they will sell the debts. I literally just can’t take this anymore
15th January 2019 at 5:55 pm #38776So a few things.
1. Stepchange allow x amount of missed or reduced payments per year. Give them a call. They will sort it out.
2. It’s likely that a lot of your accounts will sell on the debt collection agencies. Mine did. Nothing changes. You pay the same amount and crack on.
3. Talk to someone. It helps. 🙂

15th January 2019 at 5:56 pm #38780I know step change can be flexible if you call them mate as they can defer a months payment – but only if you contact them and don’t just default on it. They are open 8-6pm 0300 303 7037. Try reaching out to them to see if they can help defer for this month.
15th January 2019 at 5:56 pm #38781I’ve alredy spoken to them it’s my first payment and because of that and they’ve sent out the prosposals I cannot change it, they companies had previously been for me to get into a plan 2 months prior. I literally can’t handle my life anymore I feel so so lost
15th January 2019 at 5:59 pm #38792At the end of the day mate if the loans are unsecured then don’t stress to much about it. More to life than worrying about it. If they want to sell the debts on let then – then deal with the new company.
15th January 2019 at 6:01 pm #38793I just can’t handle this anymore. Been doing this years and finally get a plan together and can’t pay it. Tonight had been my lowest of days and I honestly just want to go I seriously can’t tske this anymore

Hi mate. Look no one can take what you haven’t got. Don’t ignore letters. Offer a pound a month. Do an income and expenditure with them. They can’t say no. It’s not as bad as you think.
15th January 2019 at 6:13 pm #38815Stepchange allow a couple of missed payments per year before they review and potentially close your plan, not sure if this covers the first payment (it should do), what did they say when you spoke to them?
As you said, this plan is affordable, it’s only because you had to fork out on an emergency house expense this month that meant that it wasn’t. So future months you should be okay! They normally (or used to) allow you to make a partial payment which they will apportion across your current creditors. Use your remaining funds (if any) to do this.
Also, you can definitely review your plan at any time if your situation changes. So if you feel the plan is too much, work with Stepchange and they’ll send out adjusted offers to your creditors.
Finally, these debts are just unsecured loans. They can sell them to a debt collection agency, fine, it doesn’t change anything. If you think they’ll come hounding you at your house, that is very, very unlikely. Some of them like to use scare tactics to get you to pay more than you can afford. Don’t fall into their traps. Just manage everything through Stepchange, the creditors at this point shouldn’t really even be dealing with you personally, once you are making regular payments via Stepchange.
All the best bud, things will get better, don’t give up.
