What i don’t get is people that say..’there is no need for casinos to rig games’. There is..GREED AND MONEY
Well there was no reasons for banks to rig interest rates..or company’s to rig test results to sell cars..or mp’s to fudge expenses. I’m afraid cheating goes on in everday life. Mostly at the highest level. If you think that there is no possibility that casinos rig or tamper outcomes to get more money, then that is just naive.
It’s a valid counter-argument to rigging, because it’s all down to risk and reward. Casinos are not only heavily regulated, but they are also heavily scrutinised by their customers.
They can make a safe profit, whilst remaining lawful, or they can make a significant risk and corrupt their own games to turn a slightly higher profit, but the risk of getting caught would be significantly disastrous for them. Negative EV in my eyes, but happy to have the debate.
There are obviously going to be cases of rigging over the years, particularly in the dodgier, lesser known casinos (which often aren’t regulated in the UK), but these cases are few and far between, and just because something happens somewhere, doesn’t mean it always happens everywhere.
@joshnadin articulated this quite well.

You are correct, anywhere where money is involved there is the possibility for corruption as human beings are greedy by nature.
Don’t get me wrong, if you’re playing at some dodgy online casino that isn’t licenced and regulated in the UK by the gambling commission and the MGA or some back alley casino in Eastern Europe where you’re likely to wake up in a bathtub full of ice with a kidney missing on your way home anyway; then yes, I’m sure in some places fair practice isn’t upheld to the same standard. However, if you’re playing at anywhere reputable where you should be spending your money and most of us do, it simply doesn’t happen.
Cheating goes on within casinos, and every instance I have witnessed first hand and heard about has been a player exploiting the house for an unfair edge or stealing from the casino. Occasionally a dealer or member of staff colluding with a player. However aside from a few very sketchy YouTube videos that do not prove anything; if you try and Google an instance where a reputable casino has been caught rigging a game, its just not a thing.
@Biohazard summed this up as I was in the process of replying, very effectively.

How exactly am I being naïve?
It’s funny how in every single debate that you’re involved with on this forum, you refuse to acknowledge logical thinking and simply insult anyone who doesn’t agree with you. I’m also yet to see a single comprehensive argument from you backing up your own views, it’s very weak.

And he’s gone silent. His trolling work has obviously run it’s course on this thread.
23rd January 2019 at 9:24 am #41786Evolution games and tables are tested both in house – and by authorities on a regular basis. They are 100% legit.
As for streams of same colours coming in, at a Grosvenor casino in blackpool when I worked there i saw 27 Red numbers in a row at one occasion, with no green or black at any time, and the next week i saw 14 (fourteen) middle column hits in a row. Thats mad!
As for conspiracy and the 2nd card guy, i saw the video, and thats a dodgy fucking casino doing this, with a non-regulated market and a non-regulated live casino. Yeah they will try and scam if they can. But how do we know its not just a clickbait video designed by a casino or affiliate for traffic through the links. “Look at this dodgy shit, for a real casino experience play here…”
Evolution isnt rigged as they also produce company accounts each year, its a traded company, they will show their spins, RTP, P&L, full reporting if you just google it all. The wheels pay out at the right amount.
2223rd January 2019 at 10:03 am #41796I agree with Bio on this one, they have far to much to lose to make the amount they would win worth while. Why get shut down over rigging when you can make a fortune over time just by playing legit.
Thats not to say that it doesn’t happen though and it could be happening right now. I’m pretty sure no one expected one of the biggest poker sites (Full Tilt) to be cheating it’s player for 4 years whilst they was playing there either.
Its a bit of a pointless discussion because we will never know unless one of these casinos get caught doing it but I will say never underestimate the other guys greed.

Preach @eejit101, its nice to see some more logic being applied to the topic.
Ah when did you used to work at Blackpool Grosvenor? That was always my favourite stop dealing the GUKPT and 25/25 Series due to always having a good laugh in the Pool and going out for a few drinks. Plus, the old cardroom manager Tania was always a pleasure to work with..
