Now then everyone, haven’t posted for a while as I wanted to get away from the whole gambling scene for a bit and focus on life.

Still been watching the bandit religiously, still been browsing the forum from time to time, but I felt compelled to come back after seeing that Steve’s getting abused on twitter for not going through with his giveaway ?

Its just ridiculous isn’t it, from both sides of the coin. First of all the people making dupe accounts and thinking it’d be a sure fire way of winning money (?) and second of all kicking off because something that took around 30 seconds of their day didn’t happen. I just don’t get peoples mentality with it all.

I’d like to talk to someone who does have a problem with it, just to be able to read the thought process behind it. The best thing for the money would be to ALWAYS go to charity, because we are all gamblers whether we like it or not.

I can guarantee that it would not be put to good use by 95% of those who entered, and would just reenter the system over time.

It was a nice idea, but nice ideas don’t work in a world full of greed unfortunately!

I can confirm I would have tried to turn it into more money . So yeah probably would have spunked it all away .

In my own opinion, it could’ve been dangerous to even give that amount of money away when you consider that it would be going to a gambler.

It has the potential to be extremely dangerous, and that’s not the bandits fault but the personality flaw of a gambler itself.

I think giveaways in future (if Steve can even be arsed with the hassle) should be kept small and maybe even cash values added to someone’s online account etc,. For example, £100, as that’s where it would go anyway let’s be honest, it’s free money. This way those that are desperate for cash would be less inclined to try and cheat the system

I don’t blame him to be honest. I know in the grand scheme of the things the idea is to increase the exposure of the site, but we’re talking about a community where people knowingly try to flaunt the system in everyday life, whether it be hiding it from their families or borrowing to gamble.

We know what we’re dealing with in a community of this kind.

Personally, for the amount of hate Steve gets from the anonymous on twitter, I wouldn’t ever dream about giving away money of my own where there’s a chance it could end up in the hands of someone like that. I hope some of the money goes to a good cause that is making an immediate impact on communities such as food banks, as although they’re being abused on the reg by smackheads, they are helping out a lot of good people that I know of from personal work in the community.

Keep the good work up though lads, there’s a real core to this forum that’s been kept going over the year, and long may it continue.
