Have the casinos adjusted their payouts to offload their losses due to recent UKGC rules. For me up until late 2022 getting a big win or a session profit happened often but latley it seems impossible to achieve.
I have played slots since 2016 and had some enjoyable sessions and withdraws but the past 8 months I have seen loss after loss……I rarely get a win over 100x and always seems to lose on every session and quite quickly too. I play at 6 well known casinos and wager between £2 to £6.
My suspicion is …… with the casinos having to slash customers deposit limits and prohibit advertising etc , has their income been vastly reduced and they have had to cut RTP in ways of big wins and frequency to adjust for less monies being gambled….Your thoughts????.
22nd July 2023 at 9:22 pm #129369ive never seen a slot online with RTP below 94% and if i did i wouldnt pay it. I notice in arcades and bookies some slots only pay 88% now which is horrendous and helped me to give them up.
However, i conclude with you that winning seems harder now….One thing i read ages ago, cant remember the source. But the difference between say a 95.5% payout and a 95% payout on the same game can mean the big wins are slashed. ie 95.5% games may occasionally pay a 2000x win but you will almost never see one on the 95% one , even the same game from the same provider.

But after covid, it genuinely feels alot more than bad. The consecutive loss sessions are way higher. It gets worse. The amount of time those loss sessions are taking is less too. For the first time ever, I have just self excluded from stores, yesterday. My brother self excluded a few months ago. And that gets worse too. UKGC are a farce.
23rd July 2023 at 3:02 pm #129396to sum it up. on bonus buying the old megaways games (Bonanza, Temple of Treasure, Buffalo rising etc) Over 100+ buys i frequently got less than 25% back (and in some cases like 5x!) when i finally hit a 15 spin@10x multiplier on Buffalo. This is supposedly the super feature and ive had over 1000x some times in the past…It paid me 10x on first spin and 14 dead spins so returned £8 from my £80 buy and this is supposed to be the top feature!!. That would have been impossible a few years ago.
I’ve learnt now that i actually HAVE to play the high volatility games to give me a chance. Had £1400 win from 80p game on Golden Catch and £666.60 (freaky!) win from 40p on Dead Canary.
23rd July 2023 at 8:28 pm #129419The biggest change that happened for me was when the UKGC banned the roulette terminals in the bookies 4 years ago. I never played bookies roulette but I did play on the fruit/slot machine style games in the arcades. When the roulette ban came into force, the arcade machines started offering roulette games with a fortune spins. It’s kinda like a bonus buy but you have to spin spin spin to get it (£1 or £2 at a time) until you get it. Then this also made its way over to slot games and it was then that the slots became notedly worse for me.
The online side of things haven’t changed much for me though as most of the UKGC rules didn’t affect me except for autoplay. I bust out in most months but I still get the odd 200X to 800X wins on the slots that I normally play on. What I do miss though is being able to autoplay while grabbing a cup of tea to find that it has bonused itself when I came back to my PC.
