thank you mate am fighting my old land lord at the moment for our deposit back last thing i want to be doing is begging for my deposit back
29th July 2019 at 10:38 am #75452Your deposit should be in a TDP scheme, and you can.contact them if you’re landlord ain’t paid you out in 10 days. I think I read.
Sorry to hear about your mum. I’m in Edinbugh if you need a hand with anything over this side.
29th July 2019 at 10:52 am #75456the deposit was payed in cash and first mth rent i met him in the pub he drinks in and he handed the keys and i filled the tenancy.i got a reciept for money i payed thinking about it now the £100 he charged for back ground check did he even do that as i got the keys that day.the new house we are in the deposit is with a company on our new home and the land lady did it on line and in front of us.i think the old land lord did not do this dont think i am going to get my deposit back and small claim court is not instant just dont know what else i can do
29th July 2019 at 10:53 am #75457You don’t need a passport to fly within the uk too. My ex lived in England I’m in scotland. Flying is usually cheaper. Just incase you’re still thinking of flying up. X
29th July 2019 at 10:54 am #75458On your tenancy does it say anything about deposit? Anything PR after 2017 should be putting the money into a TDP. Phone them and ask what can be done.

I dont know if you have to be on benefits to get it, or what your situation is, but the DWP do short term interest free loans for funeral costs and funeral arrangements.
I cant remember what they are exactly called, but might be worth looking into
29th July 2019 at 11:16 am #75466I was about to say that, if you get tax crexits, working tax credits, income support anything like that you can apply for funeral expensive.
