Morning All,
I need some help / advice. I opened an account with a website called Lottoland yesterday. I made a deposit of £200 (50+50+100) and then played for half hour or so and built it up to around £300 i then lost a bit and withdrew £213. Everything seemed fine and got an email saying it was processing. I later that evening ended up putting about 300 in through various deposits. I was playing a Red Tiger game and managed to hit a jackpot on a £4 spin and it paid around £5.5k. I was absolutely over the moon, absolutely game changing money for me and my family. I continued to play for a while going up and down and finally called it a day and left £4.77k in my account to withdraw. I went to withdraw and it asked for verification, which is fine so i took a picture of my passport ready to send this morning. I went to log in this morning and they had closed my account, I contacted live support and they said that i have duplicate accounts and have closed my account. I wasn’t aware i already had an account but was told i did from years ago and had self excluded and for that reason they didn’t have to pay me out. I also have an active GamStop but didn’t think it mattered here with a lottery site as such. I pleaded with the woman on live chat but she informed me it would be passed to a relevant party to deal with and i just know that through my own stupidity they probably aren’t going to pay me any of my winning and i’m going to be X amount down through the deposits which realistically i had no chance of ever winning. I know it was silly of me to sign up and gamble but i honestly didn’t know i had previously played there and self excluded from the site (old email address though). I just wondered if there was nay action i could take to get my winnings or if anyone has had a similar experience. It such a lot of money that could really help myself and my family and even through my stupidity i cant just accept and let it go, its actually killing me. They have said they will contact me via email in the next 72 hours but i wanted to get some advise before hand.
Kind Regards,
5th June 2019 at 9:22 am #68247I think the best you can hope for is your deposits back, doubt you’ll get the winnings as you’re previously self excluded.
Hope I’m wrong but good luck with it!
5th June 2019 at 9:30 am #68248bad luck mate , from previous stuff on here they ain’t going to pay out,be all terms n conditions stuff as usual
5th June 2019 at 9:31 am #68249We’ve seen a few of these over the last few months and nearly every outcome is the same. Sorry to say the best you’ll probably get are your deposits back. Are lottoland registered with gamstop? If they are then what little chance you had will be zero. It’s still wrong you were allowed to deposit in the first place if you had already self excluded even if it was years ago.
5th June 2019 at 9:42 am #68250They are registered with gamstop. Sorry to be bearer of bad news. Hope you get your deposits back.
5th June 2019 at 1:13 pm #68269I don’t think they will pay to be honest. Lottery is gambling, and you should have known that being signed up to gamstop will affect this. Good luck but I don’t think it will happen 🙂

I don’t think the national lottery are a part of gamstop, if one as big as the national lottery aren’t, it may be why he would think all lottery based isn’t
5th June 2019 at 4:09 pm #68299You don’t have a leg to stand on mate sorry but if they can prove you have another account or that your on Gamban then they are fully covered by their T&C however saying that they shouldn’t have allowed you to deposit in the first place so you are well within your right to ask for the £500 you deposited and you should get it back. Best of luck mate!
5th June 2019 at 4:09 pm #68300You’re legally eligible for your deposits back, so atleast you get that.
5th June 2019 at 4:25 pm #68303Was going to say i deposited and lost about £500 at a site i was excluded from and they refunded me. Politely asked me never to return again. I know it’s not the jackpot, but at least you’ll get your money back

They are, it’s at the bottom of the website if you check. 🙂

8th June 2019 at 8:57 am #68675I feel your pain, I had a similar experience after self-excluding from my first ever casino (Ladbrokes) then having a large win playing a Poker tourney. I got my money because the email transcript clearly showed me asking JUST for the casino to be blocked (I was regularly spending 6-8 hours grinding NLHE then spewing my winnings on the slots).
Key points here;
absolutely game changing money for me and my family.
It such a lot of money that could really help myself and my family
Two very similar quotes which I firmly believe are true. However, I’m reading between the lines here that you’re a long time gambling addict, as evidenced in the two quotes below – not even knowing you’d played there plus being compelled to self-exclude. That being the case, how likely is it that this money would have helped your family? Based on your evening rate, that was ten more deposits then it would have vanished into the ether.
I wasn’t aware i already had an account but was told i did from years ago and had self excluded
i honestly didn’t know i had previously played there
Every positive and negative in life is a lesson. STOP GAMBLING! This little episode might cost you your deposits or it might not, regardless it should be an enormous wake-up call that this is not a path you should be on. Install K9 blocking software on your devices today and get your Mrs to set the password. Do that right now and you’ll be free of this stress, take it from me.
18th June 2019 at 11:56 pm #68721Too late now OP, but for future, keep a list of your logins and passwords and save it onto an encrypted memory stick. It doesn’t matter what type of file you use – can be Word, Excel, Notepad etc. Anything that stores the data into a layout that you can easily read.
For me, I have usernames/passwords for Video Slots, Royal Panda and Sky Vegas. I have self excluded from Sky Vegas, so on that line next to the Sky Vegas details, I have put a note that I’ve banned myself from there in November 2016 effective for 5 years. So I know not to use Sky Vegas or attempt to create any sockpuppet (“alt”) accounts on the same site.
