As some of you know the past year I’ve made a concentrated effort to kick gambling (specifically online gambling). I had one major relapse of $600 two months ago, and a couple of smaller ones too ($20-50).
As of yesterday, I have successfully paid off my personal loan which was $6,000 in March, and about $1,100 in vet bills. I have $3,500 left on the credit card until I am fully debt free and I can start saving for the fees needed to buy my first home mid-next year.
It’s been a really hard year for me, I have been putting as much money as possible into clearing this debt. I am happier as a result, and find it much easier not to gamble online. Thank you to everyone on here for the ongoing support, and a big thank you to The Bandit himself for providing the videos that help big time not depositing. 🙂
111th December 2019 at 6:48 pm #84631Congrats on paying off your student loan. Most of us have relapsed in our journeys, but it’s an important part of learning to kick the addiction IMO.
Keep us updated on how you’re going. Were always here to support you if you need it 🙂
11th December 2019 at 8:23 pm #84633Congrats! I gave up gambling a while back but recently had an urge to play. It has not been like before though, I have strict limits & not doing bad at all. I will be stopping again though because the fun just isn’t there anymore. I play lower stakes now too. Probably give it another couple of weeks then stop again.
You have done the right thing, the money you have saved and used wisely is a good thing,
112th December 2019 at 2:34 pm #84651I think the only way to keep control is if u have plane and stick with it, If u have £100 to spend and lose it don’t go back and add more and lose again another £100, sometimes slots they just don’t pay or hard to get bonus all time I lose my deposit I walk away try next 2-3 days on next week again even if I won big I walk away from that casino just take cash out and redeposit on another casino with small deposit and try to rebuild my balance,I try to play for fun not try to win million from slots,
