I am very pleased Hacko, after writing my car off two weeks ago today, my half has added a little boost to my replacement car fund. Having been homeless for 5 months thru winter 2016-17 these outreach teams became real life savers. It’s a strange one because the charity aspect of the painting sold it as far as I am concerned. For the time it took, I made a bit extra and gave that huge chunk (this is the best bit) to a group of people who will put every penny into the cause. They work, have kids and other responsibilities and every week without fail they spend hours, in all weathers preparing and feeding the homeless, dragging everything they have, around the town looking for them to make sure they have the best chance of catching them hungry. I could write for hours but you get the picture.
I’m wondering if bandit might be interested in doing something soon for the homeless. I dunno, I’ll paint something, we can raffle it off and I’ll give a massive chunk of the proceeds to the homeless. Although it doesn’t have to be in my town this time, it can be maybe in bandits town or closer to home for him. Just thinking anyway, maybe a feasible idea.
