I’ve decided I need to stop for a few months. I haven’t had fun the past few months while gambling and I’ve deposited too much money entering various giveaways. I’m gonna ban myself from online casinos for 3 months minimum and see how I feel after. Anyone else used Gamban or GameStop? What’s the positives and negatives?

I’ve just stopped for over 3 months. Positives are I suppose the obvious you can’t gamble online. Which is great if you feel like you want a complete ban and you get an urge and then realise well I can’t go on a site. The next day I always think thank goodness I was unable to play. Negative is making sure you don’t replace gambling online with going to a casino or fobt or arcade. Which kind of defeats the object in a way.

Gamstop is the ultimate tool in my opinion, it locks you directly out of the casino rather than gamban which restricts the devices used. Be honest when signing up with Gamstop mate, tell them everything including your partners details if you share any casino accounts with them. It will stop you depositing and joining up which will give you a bit of thinking time for the next three Month.

Yeah it looks like I can only do it for a minimum of 6 months but I don’t mind that. I’m 100% going to do it as I’m really not having fun and when I play I’m only doing it to try and win money and I know that’s not what gambling is about. Thank for the responses.

I’ve signed up for 6 months. Actually looking forward to not spending my money on gambling. Only thing that’s a little annoying is I’m going to have to buy my lottery tickets in the shop rather than online but that’s only minor. If I start gambling in casinos etc before this 6month period I’m going to self exclude aswell.
