Hi Steve, et all. Just a word of warning to anyone that’s a little bit sarcastic like me. Never, ever mention the word addiction in any correspondence with a casino!
I’ve just been through the whole ‘Proof of Wealth’ shenanigans at Casumo, and at the time I had a £1,500 withdrawal pending. As the days went on and they asked me for a full bank statement to see the ins and outs of my life before they would process the withdrawal, I got the right hump and sent it to them in an email with the following…
”Here you go, here’s a full bank statement so you can see the ins and outs of my gambling addiction.”
I was being sarcastic because I really couldn’t see why they had to delve so deeply into my personal finances – I only do two or three grand a month there.Anyway, literally half an hour later I got an email from support saying “Thankyou for being so honest, we’ve now closed you account, because you’ve admitted to having a gambling addiction.”
Big ups to Andy for the chat last night and helping out. I now have my withdrawal processed, but my account is most definitely closed, forever, even after explaining it was a piss take of a comment!
FFS people, never use that word, ever…
130th October 2019 at 6:24 pm #82482Personally, i would never send a Casino, my bank statement. They don’t have the right to see it.
130th October 2019 at 6:31 pm #82484As my GamStop mandatory period is coming to an end in a few months and I would like to start some calmer, controlled low stake slotting again when it’s up (and stay well away from live roulette!), I am wondering if many of the bigger brand casinos will simply refuse to re-open my account for having previously been on the register because of course it says to them you are an addict and even after you’re de-registered, the fact you were on GamStop is visible to casinos for seven years.

well…. yeah they do. As part of the UKGC agreement for source of wealth they can ask for reasonable statements of income.
I dont get this hate on bank statements… they arent looking through laughing at you? Its just 1 person who reads it, its kept offline in a file for compliance only, and only checked by them once a withdraw request is made.
130th October 2019 at 7:34 pm #82490They have the right to request it, and if I didn’t send it over they weren’t going to process my withdrawal. Seems they have us by the short and curries!

It’s not that easy after your gamstop period has expired. Firstly you have to inform gamstop to remove your ban. There is a cooling off period and also many sites will still not allow you to use their site. The ones that do will go through rigorous chats at length to make sure you are not a problem gambler. Failure to say what they want to hear will result in your account been closed. I only deposited at casumo in may after my gamstop expired as the process seemed that complicated i couldn’t be bothered trying to use any other sites i had accounts with. I understand there are regulations and they have to do this. I certainly did not complain but the process kinda of makes you think it’s not worth it. Not only that gamstop make it very difficult to re sign back up. The first time is easy done in a minute but to come off gamstop and if like me then realise you don’t have the discipline for online gambling and want to use gamstop a second time then the process is much more complicated. Be careful whatever you do. Don’t forget why you signed up in the first place.

most need em these days, new regs in May or March was it ?
if you wont send it, expect to leave your cash stuck in there forever
31st October 2019 at 3:45 pm #82531A Casino looking your recent banking info for a withdrawal process should be illegal. Sure, by law they are expected to know that before a deposit. So wanting information before they process a withdrawal is a joke. They know a person has made a deposit and they have checked bank statements in advance. Asking for them again is stupid. They simply need to know it’s the same bank account the withdrawal will go to. They are looking for data and information. Every Casino online is permitted, encouraged and able to look at, and add to, information on any person that plays on their site. Any new site you play at will have access to life time spending and all your information from years back when they all started this information gathering for the Government.
1st November 2019 at 11:28 am #82532Trr420 I agree with you it‘a wrong to do this at withdrawal stage but I disagree with your reasoning. The reason casinos do this at withdrawal stage is to hopefully find something to contradict their terms and conditions or give them a way to wriggle out of paying out (especially in cases of a large win) For instance any cash payments in your bank they could say the onus is on you to prove the money is not from criminal gains. Or a bank transfer from a family member they would say that it breaches their terms and conditions as you could have been placing the stake for another person. The corruption is unreal like I’ve never seen in any other industry….
1st November 2019 at 11:28 am #82520Here’s my experience with Casumo. My father played some slots with 2 separate deposits. He won £25,000 in total. Withdrew the money and Casumo requested source of wealth, he sent them bank statements showing house sales up to £500,000 and pension payouts covering around £80,000 these were no older than a year or so, Casumo did not accept and requested further documents. He refused and here’s where it gets laughable while my father was on holiday armed police stormed his house arrested me for money laundering and restrained all assets for everyone living in the house and put bank freezes on all bank accounts held by my Dad, Mum me and my wife. This has been going on for well over 6 months. The reason for my arrest? I have a business acquaintance currently serving time in prison for supply of drugs. I would avoid Casumo at all costs. Incidentally after the arrest Casumo agreed to pay the winnings out. Bit late now though eh
1st November 2019 at 12:02 pm #82567Dirty bastards at bet365 owe me £499 which is currently taking me over 2 months 2 claim even though im £23,000 in profit with them due to some winning lucky 15’s and lucky roulette sessions so im effectively funding my gambling with previous winnings! cunts.
1st November 2019 at 1:22 pm #82572I agree with what you say, too. Although i am 100% sure that they are getting away with stealing money for such reasons, because they are also able to gather information on a persons spending unlike any other site, organisation or business out there. Things were meant to get better and continue to get worse. People are easily fooled though and refuse to believe things go deeper than their narrow minded views can lead them to believe.

…. ammm, don’t you think your comment after kind of supports what i am saying that you disagree with? Casinos don’t exist in certain Countries lol. So they aren’t able to be anywhere doing anything in those countries. The fact they are allowed to do that kind of shit to you is part of why they exist in your Country. That and the money they can pay for being there. It isn’t only the money though; hasn’t been for a long time.
One last Quote from ya before i leave it there. “The corruption is unreal like I’ve never seen in any other industry”.
That’s because the Governments run that industry. The Casino wouldn’t be corrupt on a Governments people or land unless they got enough out of it. -
