I don’t feel this, in that I have joined a dickhead amount of sites over time and some have been meh, some have paid, some have eaten my bank balance kidnapped my kids and wife (not a bad thing ie the wife).
24th March 2019 at 6:53 pm #57227Poker sites are way worse. First deposit you hit everything. Flush draws, full houses, straight draws, trips off the flop. It’s ridiculous. Everyone one of them. Boom then bad beat after bad beat. The worst i had was losing pocket kings 7 times in a row. What’s the the odds on that and btw not one of them 7 did i play against pocket aces.
Poker has an unbelievable variance, I’m sure, like myself, you’ve played a lot of hands, I don’t think being new has anything to do with it. I’ve been a lot unluckier with cards cracking my high pairs and losing with flopped full houses in live play than online.
Tend to agree with Rbeen here, the fate in poker depends on the seat your given or choose.. Superstitions ftw ?
But yeah PS in particular is very fair and balanced, Party poker too and are constantly monitored by outside parties doing observation and using trackers.
Most poker hands are either between 6/4 or 2/1 odds so when running below expected EV (winning hands) it can be brutal.

I’ve seen some crazy shit on poker sites that just makes you think wow how’s that possible it’s just so unrealistic. The amount of hands that gets both players involved. The crazy all ins which for some reason 90% of the time goes to the player with the higher stack. Become chip leader in a tournament and just watch good hand after good hand. Every flop hitting top pair. I’ve played hundreds of tournaments for hours on end and firmly believe the organisers want the tournament to finish as quick as possible. Why. The quicker it finishes the quicker you can pay to enter another tournament.
25th March 2019 at 7:58 am #57345I’m not sure how that would work. The casino’s don’t own most of the slots you play on. So unless you’re saying the casinos and the game hosts are in some joint venture to give new punters a better ride, but I don’t see why they would.
If that is the case, then you’ve surely just found a way to bankrupt every casino in the country?
I believe that the casinos can choose the ‘risk’ (RTP) from the game provider which is provided by different (insert variables here). I am only quoting what I have read on CM but it makes sense to prey on weaknesses that are legal. I used to get free ciggies from one of my local pubs and it cost me a small fortune to give the buggers up !
