Hello Mr. Bandit Sir and fellow slotters!
I’ve been a member of BIAM.com since the beginning but never really been active on the forums until now. I’ve also watched Bandit’s videos religiously since pretty much day one and have always been a fan. I love the content Bandit puts out and your fanbase with this website, your social media and your YouTube channel consistently evolves and grows; kudos Sir, I know a lot of work goes into this and I for one really appreciate the free entertainment.
If anyone is interested in a little background on me, my name is Josh; I’m in my mid 20’s and from Greater Manchester. I’ve worked in the gaming/gambling industry pretty much all my life since leaving school. I got a job as a croupier/dealer at my local Grosvenor Casino and worked there for around 4 years. I’m now self-employed on a freelance basis and work the big poker tours for companies such as Pokerstars, WPT, WSOP and various others depending on the work available. I get to travel the world for free doing something pretty cool and find the job interesting so yeah I enjoy what I do. I used to think it was way more glamorous than it is until one day came to the realisation that I’m basically a human RNG (Random Number Generator) that wears a waistcoat and can do a few chip tricks and make shuffling a deck of cards look fancy.
I’ve obviously gambled myself since being of legal age, I play a lot of poker both online and in casinos as I find that profitable due to picking a lot up a lot of things whilst working in the industry but I love a good slot session more than anything as I don’t have to think about what I’m doing and can just enjoy the entertainment and the occasional big win. If any of you guys have any questions in relation to land based casinos etc. then I’m your guy! But before you ask, no; the roulette wheel is not rigged lol.
Looking forward to getting involved here!

Hi Malky, thanks mate!
Of course, I have all kinds of bad beat stories; players hate me sometimes with the cards I can put out! The worst thing I ever saw whilst dealing was in a £1200 buy in event; so not a cheap amateur tournament. The board ran out K,K,A,K,K so quads with an ace kicker in the middle of the table, it was heads up at the river where player 1 went all in; player 2 tank’s for 5 minutes and then folds?!?! Somehow, player 2’s thought process at the time was he didn’t understand that no matter what hole cards he held; it was impossible for this not to be a chop pot; sigh.
In regard to the pro players, I know and deal to pretty much all of them. Sometimes at events we manage to get out for drinks with them every now and again as directly tipping is forbidden in most countries outside of the UK as this opens up collusion possibilities so they show their appreciation by pretty much letting the dealing staff have a free bar! Some of the big names I can name drop are Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Igor Kurganov (that’s me and him in my profile avatar), Phil Helmuth, John Juanda, Erik Siedel, Liv Boeree, Fedor Holz, pretty much any sponsored pro that plays EPT’s and WSOP’s. The tours also attract lots of celebrities, at my table I’ve had Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad, Neymar Jr, Gerard Piqué, David Haye, Rafael Nadal and Sergio Garcia to name a few.
I always lose my shit and panic when I get the big names at my table, especially if the event is televised/streamed for the world to see you mess up. I’m always sat there like ‘Josh, you got this. Do not f**k this up!’

Which Grosvenor in Manchester did you deal at? I often play blackjack in the one near China town as it’s round the corner from my main office so I sometimes nip in if I fancy a quick session haha.

Hi Andy, thanks pal.
I used to work at the one on Bury New Road on the other side of town! I’ve been in the Soames China Town one on George Street before though, a smaller place however a decent atmosphere in there! These days if I play in Manchester I tend to frequent Manchester 235 owned by Ceasars Entertainment which is situated in the Great Northern just off Deansgate; juicy games in terms of the cash on the table and a nice bar area and main casino floor too.
Good luck in your future blackjack sessions fella!

Very true! I could understand it in a low buy in however in one that costs over a grand it was a little painful to witness.. Yep you have likely seen me if you ever watch the EPT on Channel 4, at least my hands occasionally!
Ah that’s awesome! I’ll be sure to check out the thread later and get involved, cheers man.
