My man in the know …….. game room you da man
2nd February 2020 at 4:32 am #89928If u have problem in gamble thn deposit by baypal to ur account will be very bad idea.
PayPal takes 2-3 days to credit that amount from ur Bank account so u can deposite as much as u want.
For example , I had 500 pound in my bank , I deposited by PayPal 500 once, I lost it thn check my account saw still my bank balance 500 pound thn I deposited again by PayPal so in one day I had lost 3k total but I had only 500 to deposit to gamble.
In this case ur direct debit will fail from PayPal to ur Bank if u do not have enough money to pay and u will be in debt.
So it’s better if u do not use PayPal for gambling account but if u are always in control u are good go.
Hope it helps

Right I gotcha ….. I’m very lucky that gambling hasn’t become an issue for me personally, but I’ve doing things differently apparently by moving money into PayPal before depositing it on a casino, which is not what most people do apparently, so my account is always accurate …but I totally get what you’re saying, I wasn’t aware of those kind of delays in the system ….feel that maybe this thread wasn’t the best thing to put up because I’m starting to hear the negatives to PayPal and although it won’t effect me, we are a community and need to look out for our friends on here …Hmmmmm…like I said I’m new to the whole paypal and similar deposit/withdrawal types ( even chip and pin is advance for me ) …. pp has worked really well Over the last week of having it ……but what you wrote about, I don’t want people to be getting ideas ….@seedy what you think? Should we sack this thread ?

if u cant control you money you could lose it even by deposit from debit card very easy,i don’t think the way u deposit make any different from losing or win,u dont need to deposit on paypal u just select paypal pay then what card u want to pay,is same as u use direct pay by debit card

I’m a bit confused with this bit… so apologies if I miss the point …..I appreciate that losing and winning happen , and I’m only saying it’s a good thing how quick getting your winnings is with PayPal , but the bit where you spoke about depositing and it not coming out of your banking account straight away….I didn’t realise that, and so I wouldn’t want this thread to give problem gamblers any ideas that they could spen the money twice
and I don’t mind depositing to PayPal first as it keep my records up to date….
apologies if I missed the point
2nd February 2020 at 1:48 pm #89957I’m not sure on how many banks this happens with, but I was aware of 1 bank doing it.. my own. As long as people stick to their limits, they should be okay. I’m wondering if the person who found this out is with the same bank as I am. If so, I’ll be tempted to contact them to let them know.
2nd February 2020 at 2:02 pm #90095Works at my bank too if I deposit through PayPal on Saturday comes out Thursday. Also works on pay at the pump at Tesco as long as I have 1p in the bank let’s me put as much petrol in as I want . Handy when it’s couple off days till payday , but u need petrol .
2nd February 2020 at 3:18 pm #901052nd February 2020 at 3:38 pm #90109pre approved is all up to you bank if you have good history with bank paypal can do pre approved payout, you can switch it off if you don’t wish to use it ,simple is like having overdraw limit on paypal for 5 working days

Will share another trick with you regarding the petrol pump/payday thing… It’s not the fact you have 1p in your bank, but there is a hidden £10 Visa buffer on your bank/debit card. Next time you are in that situation make sure you leave £1.01 in your bank account (pre auth can be up to £1) fill up with fuel and then draw a tenner out the cash point. It’s a very handy trick when having a tight week.
4th February 2020 at 2:47 pm #90355To be clear , baybal do not take money instantly from ur bank account if u deposit by PayPal to casino, it takes 2-3 days for PayPal to take take money from ur account so you can deposit as many times as u want though u do not have enough money in ur account ,
Sorry for poor English not my first language
4th February 2020 at 3:13 pm #90356To be clear , baybal do not take money instantly from ur bank account if u deposit by PayPal to casino,This isn’t always true, if you use PayPal to take from your bank card it’s instant. Gambling transactions are *supposed* to be done this way by PayPal.
4th February 2020 at 3:40 pm #90359Can imagine this all changing soon with the tighter regulations coming into action. I think you’ll have to use bank card through paypal rather than paypal through your bank, if you get me.
4th February 2020 at 8:31 pm #90374See I was under the impression that any bank transaction locks the amount away instantly ….. so if you check on line after buy ten ponds of fuel, you’ll have an account balance of £ 500 and then available balance ….£490 … it might not have been paid out to the petrol station, but it’s earmarked and unavailable for you to use …..
4th February 2020 at 9:07 pm #90377I know the world pay card machines go through straight away, and it goes into the pending transactions. The petrol stations where you pay before filling check you have a certain amount in your account before it let’s you fill up. It’s just certain things that take a while to go to pending before coming out.
