I’ve seen the bandit and members do the most unbelievable acts of kindness on here so many times so I was just wondering out of everything what’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done?
I think it’s incredible bandit and i take my hat off to you, I’ve know a few people who make a fortune and none of them are even close to as generous, not by a country mile lol
I’d love to hear the stories, I’m sure Andy has a few
I’m not loaded but I give when i can, after a big win at Mecca once I gave 100quid to a local homeless guy who was clearly not a junkie and he was so grateful he nearly cried
29th January 2019 at 5:47 pm #44275I had my own coffee house/Deli a few years ago. And i did suspended coffees for the homeless. Got in my local paper. Went really well.
1129th January 2019 at 5:53 pm #44283The general consensus is to not boast about them. Not to even elude to having done anything good for anyone. Some people will tell you and not give a flying fig about the Yay, look at me, I did good factor which is the only thing that saves them, in themselves.
But the fact is, society does things every day to help society, ARK and all that. I have done what I can in many different ways, from raising a few grand for a lil girl who passed away which was a success (pardon the use of that word) to driving around after hours looking for homeless people to give blankets to however I ran out of money for fuel and what do you know, all the “people” who are supposed to be responsible for welfare, didn’t care a damn so i had to stop giving out upto 10 blankets a week in my home town, to people who were literally sleeping with nothing to keep them warm aside from the clothes on their back.
There’s something I find very humbling about helping a total stranger, whether it’s me or someone else doing it. I know people who volunteer for outreach teams feeding the homeless and they are true angels keeping people alive. They go out, in all weathers, no excuses. Hot drinks, hot food… what ever they can. Cause our government don’t give a ****.

29th January 2019 at 6:28 pm #44312It’s a bit of a weird one for me this mate but in all honesty I don’t really keep any sort of list or anything with the people I have helped. It’s weird. I’ve helped a couple of people on the forum, and a lot more off it and will continue to do so. But I see it as my way of paying something back.
I am very lucky with regards to some of the stunts I pulled and could quite easily have ended up in prison or worse many times over. I’ve mellowed considerably and I like helping people.
I know that some of my stories are quite funny to read, but I have to remind myself as well that they also caused a lot of shit for the people who were affected by my attitude. I really did have a devil may care attitude for a good few years and a lot of people got hurt over it (emotionally, physically and financially).
For some reason that I will never really understand a couple of people stood by me and helped me get my life back on track but it was really bad. So much so that when I decided to move back to my home town after 6 years of being away, I had to tell Mrs W a few home truths in case anything ever came back on me moving home.
I am now in a decent position in life where I can help people and I don’t worry anymore about the knock at the door (or the magic key from the plod) – I just help others where I can because if others hadn’t done it for me I wouldn’t be here now
Hope this makes sense hahaha

29th January 2019 at 6:33 pm #44321It’s a strange one. I suppose I was always brought and told always remember your manners and help others whenever you can. So that’s what I try and do.?
129th January 2019 at 6:36 pm #44324Ive done a few things here and there and also support Alzheimer’s and cancer research, both of which are close to my heart.
But in the recent weeks I’ve found myself in a position where I’ve needed the help, and I can hand on heart say that there are some very caring and lovely people on the forum who have helped me in more ways than they can imagine.
I’ll forever be thankful to those people and if they ever needed anything that I could assist with, I’d help in a heart beat xx

??? Nice….. I gave 4 teenage girls a free run home at 4.30am, they had lost/spent the taxi money. Asked if I would take them home, asked for my Number so they could return the money £10 and 1 girl and her dad drove round to meet me the following day, both very grateful & it’s nice to get some satisfaction from a kind deed.
My mum took me and my bro for a Sunday lunch soon after that & the place we were in another girl said Hey you took us home a few weeks ago when we were stranded & we got %50 off our Sunday lunch ????
