The five-day meeting at Royal Ascot is the jewel in the crown of the English Flat summer season. With a total of 15 Group races and over £3.5 million in prize-money. The Absolute racing quality over five days is unmatched anywhere in the world.
The traditional big race is the Gold Cup, it is run over two and a half miles on the third day, but due to popularity and emphasis on speed it has given top billing to the St James’s Palace Stakes, Queen Anne Stakes, Prince of Wales’s Stakes, Coronation Stakes and Golden Jubilee Stakes.
