I heard that if a casino pays to have a game on their site. they can choose from options of rtp. One will be like 94 one 95 or one 96% for example. This gives them the option to change it, but they have to notify the player if doing so.

Some providers including Play n Go and Red Tiger offer a few different versions of their games with different RTPs, so for example Book of Dead comes in three flavours which I think are 96%, 94% and 92% and each casino can choose which version they have.

Other providers such as Greentube and NetEnt do not offer variable RTPs and their games are exactly the same on every casino. Book of Ra for example is 94.26% regardless of where you play it.

RTP aside, I used to like Video Slots when I was playing, I think it’s a great casino in many ways but I wouldn’t play Book of Dead or Reactoonz there when I know I could go on any other casino I had an account at and play those same games but with a better chance of winning. To me that’s a no-brainer. If I just wanted a bash on NetEnt, Greentube and BTG games (which were my favourites anyway), Video Slots is as fine a choice as any.

that don’t care attitude is no Bueno . its math 2+2=4 it never equals 3 , if you play higher rtp win more (or more often) , lower rtp lose more (or more often) . I understand we all love the bandit here but the whole Wrong&Strong bullshit isn’t right. OP  is right. Math is not a bitch sometimes. unlike Science…

Videoslots has reduced RTP on Play n go, Red Tiger, Pragmatic, and some slots from other providers, like Tomb of Nefertiti. It’s undeniable that it makes a difference to players overall playtime, especially when some slots went down to 93% RTP.

You can still win on them, no doubt about that. But your playtime will be shorter over time. It depends where the RTP is changed, if it’s taken equally everywhere, or taken from the feature/base game/insane wins RTP pool.

I still play at Videoslots, and i still play Play n go slots, just less than i used to. I stopped playing Dragon’s Fire Megaways and Mystery Reels Megaways etc, because they are balance destroyers even at very high RTP, so i’ll just play them elsewhere.

They could have gone down to the 2nd highest RTP, instead of going all the way down to 93% like they did on many Red Tiger slots. Bit of a lame move imo.

They still have many unchanged games, and the support is really good, cashouts are also fast. So it’s still a good casino.

I think the issue here is the way VS told players. I lost £100 and after found out that VS had lowered RTP recently. I would have never have played if I knew that. They should ahve emailed players so players knew. Simple.

Not going to lie, I like the posters comment. I agree with it, but less in agreement with the “tiny brained” part. Lets not debase ourselves to insults immediately.

What the OP states is factually true. Its a bit… scientific for most, myself included, and I do this for a job.

I will agree that what Bandit said about slot RTP is very wrong on a base level, but its his choice if he doesnt care. I admit the weekend booster does elevate the lower base RTP of the slot.

HOWEVER – saying that it makes no difference as it bonused in 5 spins is insanity. If you bet on roulette and picked 0 and it hit 0, you win at 97.2% RTP. If the amount of numbers goes to 39, which is what VS have done, and you still get paid the same 36x, do you still play? No. Which is the entire point. Bandit is seeing this as… fun? But in effect its making it less fun as you will lose faster. Look at book of dead in todays video. That small RTP drop in effect made each spin 2% less return to player. Which helps to create how many spins it took to bonus. Sure it paid well in the bonus, but the odds of it doing so are FAR FAR less than on another site. That 2.5% really adds up. You give me 2.5p every time you spin a £1 spin and in a year ill buy you a gift with it. Youll orgasm i think.

Thanks @BeMyAngel – I’m genuinely glad this was said. RTP does matter, and seemingly negligible changes are more significant than you think.

RTP does matter.. but wether it would affect an individual player that much is arguable.

If your playing at game XXX ,, whatever, it makes sense to play it at the site with the highest RTP.

It affects everyone if you play long enough, and that’s not really arguable.

Why anyone would touch Mystery Reels Megaways at Videoslots is a mystery to me, when it has 93,09% RTP, while many other sites have it at 98,06% RTP.

This is just an example, there are many other Red Tiger slots with the same garbage RTP. And going down to 93% is taking the piss.

Just avoid those providers if playing at videoslots or any site that has them at reduced RTPs,Of course it matters, working out EV of a bonus could quite easily change it from +EV with normal rtp to -EV with the lowered RTPs…but its upto each person if they give a shit or not:)
